Hanna and Rykard's son was born 21 hours ago. Both he and Hanna are doing well and the baby is on an incubator. They haven't decided on a name, but that have some possibilities. They are: Noah, Henry, Toby, Ethan and Louie. At the moment, I'm sitting at home with Lily. I'm about to take her to nursery when I a private number is calling my phone.
"Hello?" I say.
"Harper." Says Nathan.
"Nathan. I haven't heard from you in a month. I've been worried sick." I say.
"I know. I'm sorry." Says Nathan.
"When are you coming home?" I ask.
"I know I said 6 months and there is still 5 to serve, but if we get back to base point, I can come home." Says Nathan.
"How long will it take to get back to base point?" I ask.
"I don't know Harper. I promise that I'm doing everything I can." Says Nathan.
"Its our wedding anniversary in 4 months. Christmas in 5." I say.
"I know. I am trying." Says Nathan.
"I am now you are. Hanna and Rykard's baby was born." I say.
"Awww. Wait, so soon?" Says Nathan.
"Yeah. The little man decided to come three months early, but the both of them are in hospital and doing well." I say.
"Ok. Harper. I love you so much, but I have to go because of the other people in line waiting to call their families." Says Nathan.
"Ok. I love you. Lily does to." I say.
"See you soon baby." Says Nathan.
Then the line goes dead. I sigh and put my phone back in my handbag. I pick Lily up and take her to nursery. After dropping her off, I drive to the bridal shop. When I arrive, there are a group of girls standing outside with posters saying 'we love you Harper'.
"What are you all doing here at 8:00 am?" I ask as I smile.
"We wanted to say hi and tell you how much we love you." Says one girl.
"Awww, thank you." I say.
"I watched you on the xfactor and voted for you like 10 times. I was so upset and angry when Mason got through instead of you!" Says another girl.
"Thanks for voting. It means alot. I appreciate it." I say.
There is a pause before I speak up again.
"Dont you have school?" I ask.
"Yeah. We were on our way." Says the third girl.
"You should get going. It was lovely to meet you all." I say.
"Can we have a photo each please?" Asks one girl.
"Anything for my fans." I say.
I snap three pictures with the girls and then see them off. I go inside the shop and set my stuff down in the back room. I go back to the front desk and log into the computer. I check my emails and haven't received any in a few days. 3 hours pass before people start coming in. My phone starts to ring as I observe my employees.
"Hello?" I say.
"Harper. It's me." Says Hanna.
"Hanna. What's wrong?" I ask.
"It's the baby. He stopped breathing and Rykard won't answer the phone. The doctors are with him now. I'm scared Harper." Says Hanna.
"Hanna. I need you to listen to me." I say.
"Ok." Says Hanna.
"Where is Rykard now?" I ask.
"At work." Says Hanna.
"Ok. You need to calm down. Take deep breaths. That's it. Good. Now, I'm going to go and get Rykard and I'm coming to the hospital." I say.
"Ok." Says Hanna.
"I'll be there as soon as I can." I say.
I end the call and then notify the assistant manager. I speed towards the pub where Rykard is temporarily working. I park my car and jump out.
"Hi. Is Rykard here?" I ask a bartender.
"He's in the back. You can go through." Says the girl.
"Thank you." I say.
I go behind the bar and go into the back room only to see a girl trying to snog Rykard. He pushes her away and has the most mortified look on his face.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Rykard shouts.
"I'm sorry." Says the girl.
"Yeah. You should be." Says Rykard.
I clear my throat. They both look at me.
"Rykard, you need to come with me right now." I say practically dragging him out the room.
"Why, where are we going?" He asks.
"The hospital." I say.
"Why, is Hanna ok? What's happened?" Says Rykard.
"It's the baby. He stopped breathing." I say.
Rykard's face falls and he and I run to my car. We get in and drive to the hospital. We arrive within minutes and Rykard is running so fast to get to Hanna's room. I get there and Rykard is doing his best to sooth Hanna. I start crying hen I see how much she is hurting, so I go to her right side and hug her. Then the doctor comes in.
"I have an update on your son." Says the doctor.
"Please tell me he isn't dead." Says Hanna.
"No. He isn't. We managed to revive him and he is under 24 hour supervision. He is stable, but the next 24 hours are crucial." Says the doctor.
"Can we seem him?" Asks Rykard.
"Yes, but only for 5 minutes." Says the doctor.
Hanna gets into a wheelchair and Rykard pushes her to the baby's room. I go with them.
"I think he looks like a Louie." Says Hanna.
"You think?" Asks Rykard.
"Yeah. Do you like it?" Asks Hanna.
"I think it's perfect." Says Rykard.
Hanna and Rykard share a kiss and then I get the doctor and inform him that the baby now has a name. Hanna is told she had to go back to her room and instead of putting up a fight, she does as she is told.
"I'm scared we are going to loose him." Says Hanna.
"Hanna. Baby. Listen to me. We are not going to loose our son. Louie has inherited your fighting skills and he will fight for his life." Says Rykard.
"I love you Rykard." Says Hanna.
"I love you to baby girl." Says Rykard.
Rykard sits on the vjaor and a black velvet box falls out his pocket.
"What's that?" Asks Hanna.
"Um. Well. It was supposed to be a surprise. Basically I was supposed to give this to you after we brought Louie home, but now you have seen it." Says Rykard.
He bends down on his knee to pick it up, but doesn't stand. He turns to Hanna, still on his knee, this time with the box open.
"Hanna, will you marry me?" Says Rykard.
