Family Fun

We fly home tomorrow, so we decided to go to the beach. I feel more confident going on the sea now so me and Nathan take Lily in. She starts to cry, but stops when she gets used to it.

"Nathan. Can you take Lily please?" I ask.

"Yeah." He says.

He takes Lily into his arms. A wave splashes over us and Lily starts to cry. We get out and I wrap a towel round Lily. We go back up to the room as it is a bit too windy. I put on a dress and sit in a chair. Nathan is sitting opposite me and Lily is sleeping in her travel cot.

"Harper. Are you alright?" Asks Nathan.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I say.

I go back to staring into space. I snap out of my thoughts to tell Nathan something.

"I'm just going to take a walk. I'll be back soon." I say.

"Har-" says Nathan. I leave the room and he gets cut off.

I go into the lift and go to the ground floor. I walk through the lobby and out onto the street. I stand for a few moments, before deciding to get a cab to a street that is one block away from the Abby Lee Dance Company Studio. I'm not trying to see them all, but I just wanna go in the gift shop. Maybe get a t-shirt for Nathan to wind him up. I pay the driver and then start walking. I get to the building and go inside.

"Hi. Do you need any help?" Asks the woman at the front desk.

"Hold on. Your name's Gianna, right?" I ask.

"Yeah. I recognise you from somewhere. You were on Ellen the other day wern't you?" Says Gianna who is smiling.

"Yeah." I say.

"So. Did you need to speak to Abby or did you need anything else?" Asks Gianna.

"I don't want to sound like an obsessed fan and Abby is probably busy with the girls." I say.

"No it's ok. The girls watch Ellen all the time. They haven't stopped talking about you." Says Gianna.

"Really?" I ask.

"Really. I'll go and see if they are rehearsing or if they are in the den." Says Gianna.

I stay where I am. I look around. I look at the trophey's, pictures, medals and a few t-shirts. Gianna comes back.

"They are in the den. Wanna surprise them?" Asks Gianna.

"Sure." I say.

Gianna takes me through a door and down a hall. I am so lucky. I have been on the XFactor, Ellen and now I'm about to meet the cast of dance mom's. I wait outside whilst Gianna speaks to the girls.

"Girls. Remember Harper from the Ellen Show the other day?" Asks Gianna.

"Yeah." They all say in sync.

"Well. Harper decided to come here. She's on her own. Do you want to meet her?" Asks Gianna.

"Yes!" They girls all squeal.

I walk in and I'm smiling. The girls come and hug me and I hug them back.

"Hi. I have watched all your performances on YouTube. I am a massive fan." Says Maddie.

"Thank you Maddie." I say.

"When do you go home?" Asks Nia.

"Tomorrow. Do you want a picture. You can send one to Abby." I suggest.

"Ok." I say.

Gianna takes Maddie's phone. She snaps a photo and Maddies sends it to the rest of the girls. My phone vibrates.

"Girls. I am so sorry, but I have to go. It was lovely to meet you all. Thank you so much Gianna. Could you tell Abby I syopped by and tell her I said hello. I love you guys so much. Keep dancing." I say.

I hug them all and then leave. Nathan calls me.

"Where have you been?" Says Nathan who sounds worried.

"I told you. I'm went for a walk." I say.

"Harper. Just tell me where you are." Says Nathan.

"I went to the Abby Lee Dance Company." I say.

"Ok. Can you come back." Nathan asks.

"Yeah. I'm on my way now." I say.

"Ok. I love you." Says Nathan.

"I love you to." I say.

I end the call and get a taxi. I get back to the hotel and go up to the room. There's no one in. I look around and notice a note on the bed.

"Went down to the pool for a bit. X" I say out loud.

I go down to the pool and then find Nathan. A waitress is standing next to him. Talking to him. Flirting with him. Nathan is allowed to other girls, but they are not allowed to flirt with him. I go over and sit down.

"Hey. I missed you." Says Nathan.

I give him a quick kiss. I look back at the girl.

"And you are?" I say.

"Petra." Says the girl.

"Petra recognised us from Ellen so..." Says Nathan.

"Harper. Can you perform on open karoake tomorrow night?" Asks Petra.

"We go home tomorrow." I say.

"Oh." Says Petra.

"Petra. I need you on reception!" A man shouts from the other side of the pool.

"It was nice to talk to you Nathan. Harper." Says Petra.

She walk away and me and Nathan look at each other. We laugh and then share a kiss. Soon after, we go up to the room and pack for tomorrow. We get into bed and I lay awake. Nathan starts to rub his hand over my stomach.

"I'm not even pregnant. Why are you running my stomach?" I ask.

"Because soon enough, my little boy, I mean, our little boy will be in there." Says Nathan.

"And what makes you think it's a boy." I ask.

"I just know." Says Nathan.

"Can you stop. It's distracting." I say.

"Ok. I love you." Says Nathan.

"I love you to." I say.

I fall asleep on my back. Nathan has his arms around me. It is really hit during the night so I kick the covers off me. I get so hot that I open the balcony doors as the air con is too noisy and I take my top off.

"Who are you trying to impress?" Asks Nathan as I climb back into bed.

"Oh, no one. I say smiling.

I turn on my side. Nathan tries to cuddle into me, but I push him away as it's too hot and I'm sweating. The night goes by quickly, but at 6, Lily starts to stir and then demands that she watches tv. I give in and put her in the middle of mine and Nathan's bed. I put the kids channel's on for her and then turn the volume down. I go back to sleep and as I'm trying to fall asleep, Lily is playing with my hair.
