I can hear every single word that is said, but I can't open my eyes. No matter how hard I try, my eye lids won't separate.

"What's going on?" Asks Nathan.

"She's haemorrhaging." Says the midwife.

"No. Let me hold my kids!" Says Nathan.

"Mr Montgomery. Please. Trust us." Says the midwife.

I can hear the doctors voices, but I can't hear Nathan or Rachel or Shophie and Charlie. Come on. Open your eyes! Why can't I open my eyes.

"Ok. She's going into hypovolemic shock." Says one voice.

I feel myself drifting away from planet earth. No. I can't leave my kids. They can't grow up with out a mum or the disappointment of their mum dying on their birthday.

"Shocking!" Shouts one doctor.

"No pulse." Says another.

Come on. Fight. For. Your. Life.

"Shocking!" Says a doctor.

"No pulse." Says another.

Get of your lazy backside and fight for your life.

"Shocking!" Says a doctor.

"We have a pulse." Says a doctor.

I feel myself being hooked up with wires and stuff. I think I've been given breathing support. I still can't wake up.

"Ok. We need to let her body heal. I think medical induced coma." Says a doctor.

"How long do you think it will take to wake her up?" Asks another.

"Maximum 2 weeks." Says the first doctor who suggested I be medically induced.

"Ok." Says the doctor.

Great. Just great. I might not be able to see the first two weeks of my kids lives. What about Lily? She's going to be heart broken. I hear the door open and two familiar voices dyary speaking.

"Harper. You need to wake up. You have to see Charlie, Sophie and Lily." Says Nathan.

I try to respond, but I can't.

"I sent the picture to nan and grandad. They haven't replied yet, but I'm sure they will think she's lovely." Says Rachel.

I try to respond again, but it's no use. Just. Calm down. Slowly open your eyes! I feel a soft kiss on my forehead. A few hours pass and someone is still holding my hand. I try to move my hand, but it's lile my whole body is paralyzed.

"Harper. Lily is at home with Rachel. Charlie and Sophie are in their cots next to your bed. They keep looking at you. You need to wake up!" Says Nathan.

I hear a door open and the person starts to talk. I think it's the doctor.

"Withing the last few hours of her being in a coma, she's improving. She should be awake within the next week. We'll try waking her in two days. Maybe read to her or play videos if her on the factor or Ellen?" The doctor suggests.

The doctor leaves and Nathan's hand slips away. Why me? Why do I have to bleed and then basically die?

"It's about 3 am now, so I'm going to go home. I promise to come back tomorrow. I'll text Connor to come and see you after his shift. I love you." Says Nathan.

You don't even understand how much it hurts that I can't say it back. Nathan's hand slips out of mine. I'm now alone. In a room. No one to talk to me. I am forced to sleep basically. I end up having a, I don't know what you would call it since I'm in a coma, dream, vision, something else.

"Harper! I can't believe I'm a nanny again!" A familiar voice says.

"Mum?" I say as I turn around.

It looks like we're are at my mum's house in the living room.

"Mum, I'm not dead, am I?" I ask.

"No sweet heart. I could never let God take you away from your beaitiful family. You have an amazing husband, and three beautiful children." My mum says.

"Do you know when I'll wake up from my coma?" I ask.

"I don't know when you'll wake up. You will though. I promise." Says my mum.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you to Harper." Says my mum.

My mum fades away and I find my mind back to blank. I don't know what time it is. Last time I heard, it was three in the morning. It is silent for quite a long time until a someone comes in.

"It's 7 now, and visiting doesn't start till 8, but I begged the receptionist to me me see you. I brought the iPad with me. I think I would get shouted at for watching Ellen at 7 in the morning, so we can watch it a bit later. For now, I'm going to sit and you have no choice but to listen to me." Says Nathan. He chuckles.

"So, Lily slept through the whole night. I took the sofa so Rachel could have the bed since the spare room is now Charlie and Sophie's. It was ok, but my neck was hurting a bit. I think it would be a bit to awkward if me and Rachel slept in the same bed." Says Nathan.

I smile inside.

"Lily was asleep when I got home, but she'll be asking questions and honestly, I don't know the answers. If she asks me if you are going to die, I have to say I don't know because I don't. And it killa me to think there is a potential chance that you might never see Charlie or Sophie or Lily grow up. So you need to wake up Harper. You need to wake up because without you, our family is incomplete." Says Nathan.

I can't open my eyes, but somehow, tears escape. Is this even possible?

"I'll be right back." Says Nathan.

He kissea my head and I hear him leave. He then comes back in and it sounds like he got a doctor

"Can she hear me?" Asks Nathan.

"Yes. That would explain the tears." The doctor replies.

"Ok. Are you going you try and wake her up tomorrow?" Asks Nathan.

"Yes. We will give her some medication that should hopefully alert her brain and she should return to an awaken state." Says the doctor.

It has to work. It hust has to.
