It's October 22nd and it's Hanna and Rykard's wedding. Hanna decided that both me and Hailey are maid of honour. The dresses that we are wearing are a flowy lilac dress. Mine had to be tailored a bit because of the twins, but everything has been sorted. Right now, we are about to walk down the aisle. It's me first, then Hailey, then Hanna's cousin (Bella) and finally Hanna. The music starts and I walk down. I hope people aren't staring at my bump, which I have to say is very big. Everyone gets down the aisle and Hanna is now standing opposite Rykard. They say their main vows and now we are at the part of 'I Do'.
"Hanna, do you take Rykard to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Asks he vicar.
"I do." Says Hanna.
"And Rykard, do you take Hanna to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Asks the vicar.
"I do." Says Rykard.
"I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Says the vicar.
Hanna and Rykard seal the deal with a kiss. About 40 minutes later, we are in the reception hall and are exchanging conversations.
"Nathan." I say.
"Harper. Is everything ok?' Asks Nathan.
"The babies are wriggling lile crazy." I say.
"Are you ok?" Asks Nathan.
"Yeah. I'm fine. I'm getting a few Braxton hicks." I say.
"Ok. Tell me if you can't handle the pain and we'll go home." Says Nathan.
Everyone goes quiet for the speeches. Rykard makes one, then the best man, then Hanna makes a quick one and then finally me and Hailey.
"I'd just like to say how grateful I am to have Hanna as a best friend. She is always there for me. She was there for me during my pregnancy with Lily and now the twins. Rykard. We've had our up a and downs and I've seen you in some bad situations, which I'm not going to mention, but you are a good person and you better look after Hanna or me and Hailey will go mental. To Hanna and Rykard." I say.
The dinner goes by quickly and we are soon dancing.
"Harper. Be careful!" Says Nathan
"Nathan. Leave me alone." I say.
"Have you been drinking?" Asks Nathan.
"No. I'm just really hyper. You know how I get." I say.
I stand on the booth and climb up into a table. Hanna follows me. Everyone else is dancing in the middle of the room.
"Harper. Your 7 months pregnant, get down!" Says Nathan.
"I can't hear you!" I shout.
I turn away from Nathan. I go to step backwards, but there's nothing for my foot to step on so I fall. Thank God Nathan was still standing and caught me otherwise it could have been more serious.
"What did I tell you?" Asks Nathan.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"Hailey. Maid of honour duties! Hold my dress while I wee." Says Hanna as she carefully climbs down from the table.
Hanna goes off with Hailey, where as I start to dance with Nathan.
"Harper. I'm just gonna get some drinks, do you want anything?" Asks Nathan.
"Yes. Can I have a water please?" I ask.
"Sure." Says Nathan.
Hanna and Hailey come back and the three of us start to dance. Then Nathan comes back.
"Thanks." I say as I take the glass from him.
"Can I have this dance?" Says Rykard who comes up behind Hanna.
"Of course husband." Says Hanna.
They go and slow dance and a few minutes after, we all join in.
"I love you." Says Nathan.
"I love you to." I say.
The rest of the night goes by quickly. Me and Nathan booked a hotel for the night as neither of us were prepared to drive home that late at night.
"Where's Lily?" I say sitting up in bed.
"Harper. Calm down, Dion was watching her. Remember you said you didn't want to bring her because she wasn't well?" Says Nathan.
"Oh yeah." I say.
I lay back down and ten Nathan climbs into bed. Nathan's arms go round my waist, but my stomach is a bit to big for him to join his hands properly.
"The babies are kicking." Says Nathan.
"I know. I can feel it." I say.
"In just 2 short months, we are going to have lot to Sophie and little Charlie in our arms." Says Nathan.
"I know. And I can't wait." I say.
"Do you want Rachel there?" Asks Nathan.
"Yes. She was there for Lily's birth." I say.
"Ok. I'll organize for her to come down a week before you are due because I'm not having you be lile you were with Lily. Refusing to give birth without her there, you were mad." Says Nathan.
"Hey. She got there in the end." I say.
"Yeah, but you could have caused some serious damage to Lily and yourself." Says Nathan.
"I know. I'm sorry." I say.
"Look. Get some sleep." Says Nathan.
"I can't bloody sleep with these Braxton hicks contractions." I say.
"They can't be that bad." Says Nathan
I turn to him.
"No uterus, no opinion." I say.
I turn back on my side.
"Look. Just breathe it out." Says Nathan.
I start to breathe heavily and then he contractions stop.
"Can you get me some water please?" I ask.
"Really, I just got comfy." Says Nathan.
"NATHAN! IM THIRSTY!" I shout.
"Alright. Be quiet." Says Nathan.
Nathan gets out of bed and gets me a glass of water. I sit up to drink it and then put it on the bedside table.
"Nathan." I say.
"Yeah?" Says Nathan.
"What if I go into labour alone?" I ask.
"You call me or Dion straight away or even an ambulance." Says Nathan.
"Ok. You have to be there." I say.
"Where?" Asks Nathan.
"When I give birth to the twins. I know you didnt miss Lily, but for some reason we are not together when my water's break, I don't want you to be far from me." I say.
"I promise you I will not miss my kids being born." Says Nathan.
"Ok." I say.
I turn on my side so I'm facing Nathan. I try to get as close to him as possible, but my bump stops me.
"It's so frustrating how I can't be close to you anymore." I say.
"If I'm close to the twins, then I'm close to you." Says Nathan.
We fall asleep after I turn on my other side so Nathan can wrap his arms around me like he always does.
