Nathan got diagnosed with cancer almost 6 months ago now. He's getting worse. He's getting more tired, but he's still able to work. He's having chemotherapy. It's hard. After going through his chemo sessions, he stays in hospital for 2 days. I take the kids to visit, and it's so hard to see them cry when daddy isn't at home to read them a story.
"Harper. I have the perfect idea." My manager says.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"What if, you do a tour. Now hear me out. I know its hard with your husband having cancer, so what if we make it a charity tour and half of the money that you get from tickets, can be donated to a charity of your choice." My manager says.
"I... I don't know what to say." I admit.
"Say yes. It would be good for you and it will boost your career." My manager says.
"I'll do it. On one condition." I say.
"Yeah?" My manager says.
"We get to tour the United Kingdom first." I say.
"Consider then venue's booked." My manager says.
My manager leaves the room and I call Nathan.
"Nathan, guess what?" I say in excitement.
"What?" He asks.
"I'm going on a charity tour." I say.
"What's a charity tour?" He asks.
"Half of the money we get from tickets, will be donated to a charity of my choice." I say.
"Have you chosen a charity?" Nathan asks.
"Not yet. I want you to help me." I say.
"Ok." Nathan says.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you to baby." Nathan says.
I end the call and then I sort out dates and where in the UK I want to perform. After that, I take a break and walk down to ALDC.
"Hi, can I help you?" The receptionist asks.
"Is it ok if I go through to my daughter's class? I think she's in studio c." I say.
"Of course. Go through." The receptionist says.
I go through and then find Lily dancing with her friends. They are working on a hip hop piece and by the looks of it, Lily is recalling into it.
"Mummy!" Lily squeals as they end their dance.
"Hey baby. I can't stay go long as I have to go back to work, but I thought I would come and sat hi." I say.
"Did you like our dance?" Lily asks.
"Yes. It was very good." I say.
"Thank you mommy." Lily says.
Mommy? Why did Lily says mommy I star of mummy?
"I think someone is catching the American accent." I say.
I give Lily a hug and then let her get back to her dance. I go back to work and then sort out more details.
"Hold on, how are we going to advertise?" I ask.
"Well, Simon Cowell has asked you to do a guest appearance on X Factor USA. Would you like to do that?" My manager asks.
"Yes. I'm guessing you want me to announce it then?" I ask.
"Yep. It's in three weeks. You can sing whatever song you want, but I advise an original." My manager says.
"Ok. Can I sing in your eyes? Track 4." I say.
"I think it would be perfect." My manager says.
After a few hours, I pick Lily up and then get the twins. I take them home and then Nathan arrives. I facetime Hanna and she surprisingly answers.
"Hey. Did I wake you?" I ask.
"No. I just got Alyssa down." Hanna says.
"Awww. How is she anyway?" I ask.
"Shes good. When are you going to come and meet her?" Hanna asks.
"I don't know. I mean with Nathan's cancer ordeal, my x factor performance and organizing my tour, I don't have a lot of spare time." I say dissapountedly.
"Wait, what's this this factor performance and tour?" Hanna asks.
"Simon Cowell has asked me to do a performance on X Factor USA. I'm doing a charity tour. I only was told about it today so don't ask any questions." I say.
"Whens your performance?" Hanna asks.
"3 weeks." I say.
"Can you come before then?" Hanna asks.
"I'll see what I can do." I say.
"Great, she's awake again. Speak to you later." Hanna says.
I end the call and then play with my kids. I leave the kid as after about 10 minutes and prepare dinner.
"You know what, let's go out tonight." Nathan says as he pulls me away from my activity.
"Wait, what?" I ask.
"Let's go out. Me, you and the kids." Nathan says.
"Nathan. We're trying to save money. Hanna wants us to go back to see her and baby Alyssa." I say.
"Just this once?" Nathan asks.
"Fine. Lily, Charlie, Sophie, let's go upstairs. Daddy is taking us to taco bell." I say.
I take the kids upstairs and get them dressed. I get changed and then Nathan does aswell. Once we are all in te car, we drive the 15 minutes to taco bell. We get a table and then order drinks.
"Mummy. Why are those people looking at us?" Lily asks.
"Just ignore them lil." I say.
After getting our drinks, we order food. After 5 minutes, Nathan makes conversation.
"Have you thought about a charity for your tour?" Nathan asks.
"Maybe." I say.
"Just tell me." Nathan days.
"Fine. I was thinking Cancer Research. It's for you and everyone else." I say.
"That's really sweet babe." Nathan says.
We share a quick kiss and then we finish eating. We drive home and then I bath the twins. I put them to bed and then Nathan puts Lily to bed.
"What are you going to do at work tomorrow?" Nathan asks.
"Practice for my performance and work on the tour." I say.
Me and Nathan have a glass of wine and then go to bed.
"Baby. Do you think I'm ugly for a 31 year old?" I ask.
"Why are you asking?" Nathan asks.
"Because. I don't feel beautiful." I say.
"Why are you suddenly saying these things?" Nathan asks again.
"I don't know. I gues the thought of it comes and goes." I say.
"Hold on." I say.
Nathan gets out of bed and grabs my small hand mirror. He holds it infront of my face and turns on the bed side table.
"What do you see?" Nathan asks.
"A fat and ugly woman." I say.
"Well, what I see is a woman who looks absolutely flawless. A woman who has beautiful skin and a woman who looks after herself." Nathan says.
"Nathan. Stop saying things that aren't true." I say as I lay back down and turn on my side.
