I didn't know how to feel. Shock? Anger? Happy? Sad? As much as I wanted to give Rameez benefit of the doubt, a part of me couldn't help but feel betrayed and hurt. I quickly put the letter back in the draw and left the room with the game in my hand.

As I made my way back to the living room, I had only one question playing in my head- why did Rameez hide this away from me? Did he intend to tell me about it? And most importantly was he going to tell me about it? Yeah I know that's more than one question.

I quicky wiped away my tears and put on a fake smile before walking in the living room.

'Mahdiya, what took you so long?' Maseeha asked me.

'I couldn't find the game.' I lied.

'Okay then , let's start?' Uzair asked as he began to set up the game.

'You okay?' Rameez asked as I took a seat besides him.

'Yeah!' I replied with a small smile.

'Okay then. Miss D and I are together and you there can be together. ' Rameez said as he gave Salma a sly smile.

'I said I was on Mahdiya's team!' Salma exclaimed.

'Why do you want to be the middle guy?' Rameez asked her with a raised eyebrow.

'Salma you can be on our team.' I said as I made space for her to sit next to me.

I needed a bit space from Rameez. I was upset and I was afraid I was going to say something I didn't mean.

The game ended up taking longer than expected. If I wasn't feeling the way i was feeling , I would definitely have enjoyed the game.

I tried acting natural but with the looks I recieved from Maseeha I knew I was failing.

'What's wrong honey?' Maseeha asked me as I walked her out.

'Nothing!'

'Okay fine...don't tell me but I'm here whenever you need me okay?' She said as she gave me a side hug.

'I will! JazakAlllah Maseeha!' I replied with a genuine smile.

After clearing the the lounge I made my way to our room. I paused before before opening the door. I didn't want to deal with Rameez right now and luckily for me when I opened the door I could him sleeping with his shoes still on.

I couldn't help but smile upon seeing him like that. He looked so innocent. I shook my head and quickly removed his shoes and covered him with a duvet before getting in bed myself.

I turned around to face him. I wasn't mad at him for wanting to go, I was mad at him for not telling me about it.Wasn't it important for me to know? I thought we promised to share everything with one another.

I slowly let sleep take over me unaware that this was just the start to more shocking news and maybe a few more heartbreaks.

Maseeha's pov

It felt really good to see everything finally falling in place. Rameez and Mahdiya were happy, Uzair was fine and I was at peace. I was slowly finding myself and most importantly I found Him. I found my Allah and I fell in love with Him. He was all I ever needed.

Our family was becoming a family again. I basically lived for family time and I was glad it was all going to start again. My parents and little Nuha were coming down this weekend forever this time. Uzair could find us a house near the local masjid.
