Chani <Birthday>

You sat in the stands of the stadium watching as the ISAC event started. You kept an eye out while you looked for your boyfriend who was participating in the event today. Spotting him a few feet away you smile softly, blushing when he turns and meets your gaze. He winks at you before slowly making his way over.

"Y/N! You came!" He says happily as he leans closer to you. Nodding your head you say back "well I couldn't miss cheering my boyfriend on plus your birthdays tomorrow which is like..." you trail off as you calculate how many hours it was until Chani's birthday. Blinking you shake your head as you continue "... in a few hours". He laughs at this and kisses your cheek as he mumbles "thanks for being here". You blush even more at him before noticing everyone watching and growing even more shy.

He laughs at your behaviour before hearing Youngbin calling him. He turns to you and says "I gotta go now but make sure your watching me". You laugh but nod anyways before watching him run to his team but not before he looks back to you and blows a kiss. The people around you aww while you smile like an idiot.

You stand up in excitement when you see Chani line up to run next. As the race starts,you scream your lungs out cheering for him. Sadly he doesn't come first but your still super proud of him. He smiles despite his loss and again takes off running except this time the finish line is you.

He runs up to the rails and leans forward once again as his attention turns solely to you. Ignoring the crowd watching you look to him confused as you ask "what is it?". He grins at you before saying "were you watching me?". This makes you laugh as you shake your head at him. "Of course I was watching, didn't you hear me cheering?" You question before tapping your chin as you mumble "guess that means I gotta cheer louder....".

You're pulled out of your thoughts when your boyfriend laughs. Suddenly you both turn to see Youngbin making his way towards the two of you. You wave at him and he waves back before finally reaching you two. "Sorry Y/N, I have to steal him away again" Youngbin says, you nod in understanding and wave goodbye to the pair.

Hours later the event slowly comes to an end. It was way past midnight which meant that it was technically your boyfriends birthday. You walked into the room where your boyfriend was said to be in. Holding a birthday cake in one your hand, and a small bag in the other.

You struggle to get the door open when it swings open to reveal Hwiyoung. He stands there surprised to see you, snapping out when he sees you struggling to carry everything. He grabs the cake out of your hand and you smile at him in thanks.

You both walk into the room and towards Chani who's sitting down as he chats with Dawon. Tapping his shoulder you lean forward and whisper "happy birthday Chani!". He spins around with a smile plastered onto his face as he spots you. He soon notices the bag in your hand as well as the cake Hwiyoung was holding.

You remember the cake and dig into the bag grabbing a lighter. Rushing over to Hwiyoung, you light the candles up and motion towards your boyfriend. He gets the idea and walks over to Chani, you start to sing happy birthday and soon the others follow in. You smile watching as he makes a wish while you snap pictures of everything. Soon you are all having some cake when you decide to give him his present.

"Chani?" You ask trying to get his attention. He turns to you questioningly, you push the bag forward into his hands as he starts to protest "Jagi, you didn't have to get me anything". Shaking your head you say "it's your birthday, of course I had to get you something".

He opens the bag and pulls pull out a black box. Slowly opening it, you sit there anxiously awaiting his response. He finally opens the box and his eyes widen as he stares at the watch sitting inside. "Wow" you hear him whisper before he quickly turns to you shocked. "This is too much Y/N" he quickly says and closes the box pushing it into your hands. You protest back and push the box back to him. "Keep it, I brought it for you" you say, pouting as you do. He smiles down as he looks at the watch putting slipping it on and posing with it to you. A grin makes its way onto your face as you feel relieved that he loved the present.

You stand outside near the seats looking out into the stadium. "The suns slowly making its way up now" Chani says popping up behind you as he wraps his arms round your waist. You jump a little and hear him laugh softly at your reaction.

You turn your head slightly and glare at him as you say "don't do that". He rests his head on your shoulder as he turns to look at you before faintly saying "the views beautiful". Looking up at the early morning sky, you whisper "yeah it is".

You stop admiring the sky when your boyfriend laughs next to you. Turning to him you ask "What's so funny?", he just shakes his head saying nothing. Suddenly you feel his hand leave it's place on your hip, you look down but you then feel his hand om your cheek, turning you to face him. He leans down and presses his lips against yours and your eyes close before you return the kiss.

Pulling away you hear him say "Thanks for today Y/N, it was the best birthday I could ever imagine". You blush at his compliment making him laugh before he kisses you again.
