Tessa's P.O.V:
I slowly open the door and peak in. Proof's head snaps up and he holds my gaze for a few seconds before he drops it again. I step into Marshall's bedroom and close the door.

"Did he wake up yet?" I ask. It was the middle of the night.

After Marshall collapsed on stage, we had to bring him home straight away. I told them to take him to hospital but Paul wouldn't listen. I called Leroy to talk some sense into Paul but he didn't listen to me either. They said it would draw attention and the media will be all over the place, so they brought him home and called Marshall's doctor instead.

"Yeah...he woke up a couple of hours ago." Proof clears his throat. "It's almost 2 in the morning. You should get some rest." Proof says.

"I can't sleep." I shrug. I was still dressed in the same outfit I preformed in.

"We had a doctor check up on him." Proof explains as he takes a seat at the end of the bed. "They said that he was dehydrated." He says as he leans foward and covers his face and let's out a heavy sigh. "That's why he collapsed." He adds.

"Then...you have nothing to worry about." I say. "He's going to be fine." I add. Proof chuckles and shakes his head.

"He's not though, is he Tessa? Look at him." He says gesturing towards Marshall who's fast asleep. "I knew it." He sighs.

"Knew what?" I ask as I cross my arms across my chest and lean against the door.

"Fuck. I knew it! I fucking knew it!" He curse as he kicks the bed. I quickly glance at Marshall to find him still sleeping.

"DeShaun. What are you talking about?" I ask in frustration.

"You said that he was fine. That nothing happened in California. You promised me and so did Marshall." He says making me roll my eyes.

"I thought we were over this!" I huff.

"Why the hell would I get over this!" He shouts back. "He's like my own flesh and blood! My brother. I should know if anything happened to him. But yet you're hiding something and so is he!" He adds.

"He was dehydrated. You said it yourself." I sigh.

"Cause that's what Paul told me. But I don't believe it, Tessa. He's changed. He's acting different. Usually, he's always hyped up before the show. He's always excited but this time...this time he looked nervous and...and...and scared!" Proof says finally locking eyes onto mine.

It goes quiet for a few minutes. I look away from Proof and everytime I glance at him, I find him still watching me, begging me with his eyes for answers.

"I don't know what to tell you or what you want to hear from me." I shrug and finally keep my eyes locked onto Proof.

"I want you to tell me what the fuck is wrong with Marshall. I want to hear the fucking truth, Tessa." He says.

"Alright." I let out a small sigh as I nod. "Nothing happened in California." I shrug as I lean off the the door.

"Bullshit." Proof shakes his head.

"Nothing happened, DeShaun. You need to let this go. He was dehydrated. He's fine now. It's time for you to just move on." I say as Proof shakes his head.

"If it was the other way around." Proof says making me sigh.

"Please. Just drop this." I huff.

"If it was your friend Karla and something bad had happened. Something that shook her up. Something the scared her and changed the way she talked to you...or changed the way she acted around you. Wouldn't you want to know what happened?" He asks.
