Chapter 56 - Halloween

Tessa's P.O.V:
"Awww, young love." Karla says through the phone. I roll my eyes as I laugh softly. 

"First of all we are not young." I say making her chuckle. "And second of all you sound like your mom-" I start but she cuts me off. 

"Ew. Okay, i'll stop." She says making me laugh. 

"I think it's cute actually." Karla says referring to my third date with Marshall that I just told Karla about.

"He's amazing, Karlz." I sigh. 

"Details." She says, making me smile lightly. 

"He's kind and caring. Like when it was raining yesterday, he covered me with his jacket whilst he was soaking wet, which I gotta admit made him look atleast two hundred times hotter if that's even possible." I explain. 

"Damn." Karla mumbles. 

"And it's just the tiny gestures he does that make my heart flutter, you know?" I shrug. 

"No I don't know. I want every single detail." She says making me roll my eyes playfully. 

"Just the tiny things like how he always holds my hand or how he cuddles me at night." I shrug. "He's always holding doors for me-" I carry on but Karla cuts in. 

"Very gentleman like." She says. "If only my fiancé was like that." She says loudly. 

"I hold doors for you." I hear Chris shout, making me laugh sightly. Guess I was on speaker which Karla could have warned me about incase I said something about the contract.

"No, you slam the door in my face and then realise that i'm standing there and then you hold doors open for me." Karla correct's him, making me laugh. "Okay, go." Karla says into the phone.

"That's about it." I shrug. "I mean, when ever he's driving, he never let's go of my hand and always kisses it...Ugh, I wanna kiss him so bad right now." I say as I bury my face into my pillow.

"Does he make dinner for you?" Chris shouts. 

"Hell no, Marshall can barley boil water." I say. 

"Just like your dumb friend here." Chris says. 

"Hey!" Karla whines, making me laugh. 

"See, I cook you dinner unlike Marshall." Chris says. "Why are we talking about Marshall like it's something new?" Chris asks. 

"Because. We just are." Karla says. 

"Did you get Milo's halloween costume?" Chris says, changing the topic. 

"Crap." Karla mumbles. 

"Good one, babe. We got what? Three to four hours before we go trick or treating." Chris says.

"Ugh, i'll call you later Tess." Karla says. 

"Bye T." Chris says. 

"Bye." I say before I hang up the phone.

"Who decorates the house for halloween on the same day?" Nathan mumbles as he places his feet up on the dashboard.

"Us because we were busy the past three days." I say as I turn the corner and drive down the parking lot to look for an empty parking space but the damn parking lot is packed with cars. 

"Well, looks like you and Marshall aren't the only ones who are stupid enough to decorate the house for halloween on the same day." He says as he watches a couple pack there car with halloween decorations.
