She left in the morning, gone without warning
Fun while it lasted, lost in the moment
The things you have shouldn't be taken for granted. The people you love should be reminded on a daily basis. Rather than focusing on the things we don't have, we should be grateful for the things we do have. Instead of wishing we had more, we should be grateful that we don't have less.
He knew this. He'd always known this, and, until that morning, he'd never taken the people he loved for granted.
Until that morning, he'd never asked himself why, rather than why not?
Until that morning, he'd never yearned for something more than what he had.
But, that morning, he did, because Ash was gone.
