"Do you love me?"

It was that question again which teared her apart. The question which she never wished to hear for the rest of her life. Yet, there it was staring right in her eyes.

Say no, and she knew a drama would follow. One that'd entertain every audience, but one that'd rip her apart on the inside.

On the other hand, say yes, and she knew she'd be betraying him. What they shared was love too. It may not be able to overpower the love for her parents, but it is love too. And deep down in the bottom of her heart, his flame was still alive.

"Look into my eyes and answer me Riya. Do you love me?"

With the heaviest heart she had ever felt, she finally uttered the three letter word. YES!

Even today she doesn't know why she did that. Did she really want it? Or was it just because it was the word her mom wanted to hear?

Reasons might be plenty, but the end was always the same.

Because once again the embers of his love had been quenched by their care.

Because once again, love had lost the battle of hearts.
