"Did you just call me a devil?"

His voice was angry but his eyes were laughing. Furiously smiling from eye to eye, he repeated his question again.

"No, I would never," she countered immediately.

Watching his eyes contract and those eyebrows trying to meet each other, she knew her bluff wasn't going to sell.

She had to look for a way around it.

"How did you even know? It was supposed to get lost in the sea."

Even she couldn't control her laughter as she said it. Their friends were famous for flooding the group with messages, apparently hiding such dangerous situations. But today, their reservoir was facing a drought.

"Fortunately, the sea ain't that deep," he chuckled picking up a pillow to throw at her.

Squeezing her shield in place, she got ready for another pillow fight.
