Midoriya is surprised when your arms wrap around him, but he's so caught up in the energy of the Sports Festival and drowning in the cheers of the audience he reacts instantly.
He spins you around and when your feet hit the ground again, he pulls you into a tight hug, burying his face in your neck. You can feel the tears in his eyes and know how much of a big deal this is, especially for him! He had been trying so hard to master his quirk, training so hard and overthinking every night about his hero status, and now it turned out to actually amount to something.
"I'm so proud of you, Izuku." You nuzzle the side of his head. "Let's bring the same type of energy into the second round, okay?"
"You got it!" Midoriya nods, still teary-eyed, "I'll do my best!"
