Jake Cruze: Part 2

Jake's POV:
I pulled into the Goode High School parking lot minutes before the final bell rings to dismiss students for the day. It has been 3 years since Katie fired me and it was finally the day to get my revenge. Since I couldn't get her, I guess I'll have to settle for her daughter, who is just as pretty and is finally 16. I have been spying on the Stoll family for the past 3 years and could list you Daisy's daily schedule off the top of my head. I know it sounds creepy but I'm doing it for my own good and hers because we all know she'd be better with me than that Luke kid. I circled the parking lot and finally spotted her white SUV on the other side. I drove over there and to my luck, the space next to her was open so I pulled in just as the bell rang and kids came flooding out of the school. I got out and walked to the trunk of my car, opening it as I sat in it and waited for her. After a couple seconds, I spotted her stroll into the parking lot as she waved bye to her friend Selina and made her way towards me. "Excuse me, I'm looking for my teenage daughter in 9th grade. Do you happen to know her?" I asked Daisy as she reached her car. "I might! What's her name?" She asked sweetly as I quickly thought of a random name. "Jillian!" I stated quickly as her face lit up. "Sure! I know Jillian! She normally hangs out over by that tree!" She said as she looked away for a split second, pointing at a large tree in the school yard as I took my chance. I leaped at her and wrapped my arms around her waist, lifting her up as she screamed. "Let me go!!!!" She screamed, thrashing and kicking as I carried her to my trunk. I threw her in and while she was still for a split second, I took the chance and hand cuffed her to the side of the trunk because I have an SUV so I can't have her climbing over the seats. I quickly closed it as she leaped at me but was pulled back by the handcuff. She began pounding on the back window yelling to let her out as I got into the drivers seat and started the car.

Daisy's POV:

"NO! LET ME GO!!!!" I screamed as the trunk closed and I went up to the window, pounding on it with my free hand. I looked ahead and saw Landon standing near his car as I felt slightly relieved knowing he was near me. "Landon!!!!" I cried out, pounding on the window as he looked up from his phone and looked around. He finally looked in my general direction as I continued screaming for him and when he processed what was happening, his eyes grew wide and he began running at the car as we began pulling out the space. "LANDON!!!!" I yelled as the guy slammed on the gas and we sped out of the parking lot, Landon still chasing after us yelling.

Landon's POV:

"Landon!!!!" I heard someone muffle my name as I looked up from my phone and looked around. I heard pounding on glass come after and looked towards my sisters car, spotting her pounding on the trunk window from the inside of a strange red SUV. It took me a second to process but once I knew what was happening, my heart stopped and my eyes grew wide with fear as I ran forward. "No no no no..." I kept chanting to myself as the car began pulling out of the space. "LANDON!!!!" Daisy screamed in fear as the driver slammed on the gas and sped out of the parking lot but I refused to stop chasing them. I ran out into the busy street after them and they began gaining speed but I felt a surge of energy rush through my veins. "Thanks grandpa!" I thought, realizing that Hermes gave me a speed blessing as I ran faster and caught up to the van. I reached the trunk and grabbed the handle, pulling on it as it swung open and Daisy looked at me with relief. "JUMP!" I yelled over the wind, my arms wide open and ready to catch her as I ran. "I CAN'T!" She yelled, showing me that her right arm was hand cuffed to the side. "YOUR POWERS! YOU CAN UNLOCK THEM!" I yelled back as I slowly felt the blessing leave and began slowing down.

Daisy's POV:

"YOUR POWERS! YOU CAN UNLOCK THEM!" Landon yelled to me as the blessing began wearing off and he began slowing down. "YOU KNOW I'M BETTER WITH MOMS POWERS OVER DADS!! I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO USE DADS RIGHT!" I yelled back, thinking back to the times dad has attempted to train me but I can't even unlock a simple lock. "YOU HAVE TO TRY!" Landon yelled as we began losing him. The guy suddenly slammed on the break as I flew back and hit the seats, the trunk coming down and slamming shut as Landon caught up but the guy slammed on the gas again. "NOOO!" I yelled as I came up to the window and saw Landon still chasing us but he was getting further and further away. I looked at my hand cuff and realized that if I want to get out of this, I'm going to have to try unlocking them. I placed my hand on them and focused but the busy NYC streets distracted me so nothing happened. I looked up and saw that we were approaching a red light and I knew this was my chance. I focused again with everything in me as the cuffs suddenly began vibrating and dropped down to my knees. I gasped in surprise and looked up at the driver as he looked at me in the rear view with shock when he realized I wasn't restrained anymore. The car came to a stop at the light as I quickly placed both my hands on the trunk, focusing everything on the door as it swung open and I quickly hopped out. I ran out into the street as the guy roared in anger and got out of the car after me. Landon ran up to me in the middle of the street and engulfed me in a hug as the guy suddenly pointed a gun at us. "Don't move!" He yelled as we looked at him with fear. "Get behind me." Landon stated bluntly and he slowly pushed me behind him as I held on to his arm. "We can't do anything without risking our lives. We're fast, but not faster than a bullet." I reminded Landon as he nodded in agreement, knowing that being track stars and grand kids of Hermes wasn't going to get us out of this situation. Before the guy could make a move, a green force field suddenly grew around us as two green and blue motorcycles pulled up suddenly. We watched in amazement as our mother got off her motorcycle and took off her helmet, shaking her head as her hair fell from it and she kept her arm raised in our direction. "Step away from my children." She growled as our dad got off his motorcycle and took off his helmet, pulling out his bow as he aimed and glared at the guy with fury. "Well well." The guy said manically as sirens began going off, getting louder as they got closer. "It's over Jake. You're going to jail for a very long time." Our dad informed him as he smirked and rolled his eyes. "That's what you think." He said and suddenly booked it towards the intersection we were at as 5 squad cars rolled up, cornering him as he put his hands up and back up a little. "Jake Cruze, you're under arrest for the attempted kidnapping of Daisy Stoll. Get on the ground now!" An officer shouted with his gun pointed at him as another officer came over and put him in cuffs. They put him in a squad car as our mom disarmed her force field and our parents ran at us. "Ah, my babies!" Mom exclaimed and engulfed us in a huge hug as dad wrapped his arms around us all. "Are you guys alright?" She asked as we pulled apart, putting a hand on each cheek as we nodded and smiled. "Who was that man anyways mom? He looked oddly familiar." I told her as she sighed and shook her head. "That was Jake Cruze, the man I fired 3 years ago that one afternoon at Starbucks." She told us as Landon and I looked at each other with realization. "Oh yeahhhhh. I remember that. That guy was an asshole." Landon stated bluntly as we all laughed and shook our heads in agreement. "Can we get dinner now because after all that, I'm starving." I told my parents as they laughed and nodded. "But the real question is, when are you not starving?" Landon asked as I laughed and elbowed him lightly in the stomach. "Never." I told him as he laughed and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. He led me to our favorite restaurant, which was conveniently across the street, and we joined up with our parents at the door.
