Luke's POV:
OK! This is it! It is finally time to give my Valedictorian speech at our high school graduation. I'm sweating like crazy as I pace back and forth and Landon tried to calm me down. "Hey bud! You got this! You can do this! This is the next step of your life!" He said, referring to the speech and the other thing that was about to happen. I was fidgeting with my fingers as Daisy ran up in her cap and gown. "Hey baby! Are you alright?" She asked, putting a hand on my cheek as all of my worries suddenly washed away. Just one little touch from her could make everything better. I smiled and took her hand into mine, kissing her cheek. "It is now." I said as she nodded but then we heard our principles voice. "And now, I would like to welcome our Valedictorian of the 2034 graduating class, Luke Jackson!" She said as the crowd erupted to cheers and I took a deep breath. "You can do it." Daisy said and kissed me. I nodded when we pulled away and walked on stage as Daisy and Landon went back to their seats with my sister and all of our parents. I walked up to the podium and looked out towards the crowd. I memorized my whole speech so I didn't have my notes with me. "Hello fellow graduating peers! I can't believe this day is finally here. I have been waiting a whopping 12 years for this certain day." I started my speech as light chuckles ran through the audience. "First, I would like to thank my mom for always keeping track of my school assignments and always making sure I had my homework done." I said, looking at my mom as she blew a kiss. "My dad would have helped but he's a "seaweed brain"." I quoted as the whole crowd burst out laughing but my parents and sister were louder than the whole crowd combined. "Next, I would like to thank my twin sister Selina. She has been my go-to since the day we were born and has never left my side ever since. I can always go to her for any of my needs and I can trust her with my life, so thanks sis." I said as Selina grinned like the Cheshire Cat and blew me a kiss like mom did. "Next, I would like to thank my best friend Landon. We have been best friends since we were little and I could never have asked for a better best friend. I can tell him anything I can't tell my sister and honestly, I probably would have never survived high school without him or Selina so thank you." I said as they both smiled and grabbed each others hand. "Last but certainly not least, I would love to thank my beautiful girlfriend Daisy. For as long as I can remember, I have always had the biggest crush on her. When we started dating, I all ever wanted was to be with her and make her the happiest girl on this earth. She is the light on my darkest days and is my motivation for everything. Now a days, there is nothing I do without her because I want her there for everything. Daisy, I fall for you more and more everyday with your gorgeous looks and amazing personality! I love you more than life itself." I said as she burst into tears and Selina wrapped an arm around her. I looked at Landon and he nodded, waiting for what was about to happen next. "Daisy, I need you here with me. Could you come up here?" I asked as she nodded and wiped her tears, standing up and walking up to the stage. She walked up the steps and walked across the stage to where I was waiting for her. When she reached me, she smiled weakly because she was just crying her eyes out. I cautiously took out the black velvet box I had in my pocket and got down on one knee as Daisy gasped, covering her mouth as more tears brimmed her eyes. "Daisy Marie Stoll, I have been in love with you since 5th grade and you are the light of my life. Would you make me the happiest man ever to live....... and marry me?" I asked nervously as she started sobbing, shaking her head yes as the crowd exploded into cheers and whistles. I jumped up as I slipped the ring on and kissed her passionately. When we pulled apart, we pressed our foreheads together, staring into each others eyes. We walked off stage, hand in hand, and I completely abandoned my speech but I didn't care. Our parents and twins jumped up from their seats and made their way to us. Katie ran up and yelled, "MY BABY'S GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!" and embraced Daisy with tears in her eyes. When Katie finally let go of her, Daisy hugged Travis and Landon and then Selina. "My best friend is now a fiance!" She said as Daisy giggled. "Yeah. I'm the luckiest girl in the world!" Daisy said as we looked at each and laced our fingers together. "Yeah, me too." Selina said and grabbed Landon's hand. "I call being the wedding designer!!!!" My mom shouted, raising her hand as my dad looked at her. "Annabeth, you're the CEO of a huge architect company, not a wedding designer!" My dad said as everybody laughed but mom glared at him. "Too bad. I'm doing it anyways." She responded with sass as the rest of us chuckled. "I WANT TO DO THE FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS!!!!!!!" Katie squealed, jumping up and down with excitement as Travis looked at her with a strange look. "Of course a daughter of Demeter would want to do the floral arrangements." He said as my dad snickered and Katie elbowed Travis. "What can I say? Nature runs in my blood......... literally." She said as Travis kissed her cheek. I looked at Daisy as she looked at me and all we did was smile at each other as we touched foreheads. Soon, I'm going to be married to this beautiful girl and become the happiest man alive. ♡
