Davina's out in the garden with Hope and they're watching a butterfly land on a flower."It's so pretty," Hope murmurs and reaches out a finger, only for the butterfly to land on it.
"Aw, I think it likes you," Davina tells her with a grin. "Nature is a wondrous thing, isn't it?" Hope nods in agreement and the butterfly flits back into the garden. "So, I've got to ask...how does it feel to have your dad back in your life?"
"I'm not sure," she admits sheepishly. "We haven't talked much so far. Mom has always told me stories about how great and majestical he is."
"Oh, your father is majestical, indeed."
"Uncle Kol!"
"Uncle Kol," Davina repeats in amusement. "Come out to see us?"
"You know I couldn't resist," he replies with a sly smile. "This is a very beautiful garden, isn't it?"
"Yeah," Hope giggles. "Mom and Auntie D planted it last year, and I helped a little."
"Well, that just makes it even more marvelous, doesn't it? Might even be the perfect place for a wedding," Kol remarks.
"Wedding? Who's getting married?"
"That depends, Davina Claire," he chuckles and turns to her. "You see, a couple years back—before the Marcellus mess—I had a very specific paragon diamond turned into a few pieces of jewelry. I've been meaning to give them to you, but the timing's always been off. Had them in my pockets ever since." Kol pulls out what looks to be two jewelry boxes. He opens one, revealing a diamond necklace.
"Oh, my god. That's gorgeous," she breathes. "Don't tell me that I'm getting that..."
"Well, who else, then?" Kol takes it out of the box to fasten it around her neck, so it's hanging with the other necklace she received from him years ago. "And these..." He opens the other jewelry box which contains a set of diamond earrings.
"Wow...this must be a special occasion if I'm receiving all of this fancy jewelry from you," Davina smiles as she puts in the earrings. "He's a keeper, right, Hope?" Her goddaughter nods vehemently with a smile almost as wide as Davina's.
"I should hope so, darling," he says, pulling out one final jewelry box. "Now, I don't know if you would consider this bad timing, as we are on the run from that of Marcel Gerard."
"Mmhm..."
"But, I hope that isn't going to sway your decision. I've known you for over a millennium, love, and I knew the second I saw you that I'd be asking this question at some point in the future. So..." Kol opens the box, which causes Davina to inhale deeply with wide eyes, because inside was a massive engagement ring. "Davina Claire, are the odds in my favor that you would fancy getting married?"
She doesn't notice that the whole family was now gathered on the porch, staring at them with shocked but delighted expressions. Davina's one and only focus was taking that diamond ring and placing it on her finger. "One-hundred percent," she answers with a teary eyes. "Yes, I will marry you."
The two engage in a passionate kiss while the rest of the Mikaelsons and Hayley all applaud from the porch.
"I knew it, I knew it," Hope exclaims excitedly.
"Let's do it now," Davina tells him with a serious expression.
"Now?"
"Yes. The whole family is here in the middle of nowhere with us. What are the chances of that happening again in the near future? Besides, I don't want to be waiting one day and our luck to suddenly run out. I've never dreamt of a fancy or extravagant wedding, and you were right—the garden will be perfect. Let's do it now," she repeats.
