"So, I might be in New Orleans a little longer than I thought. Hayley's missing, so we're all trying to find her. And, uh, Klaus is coming back. I guess I'll talk to you soon, Kol. I love you. Bye," Davina sighs, finishing the voicemail before hanging up.

"Davina," a voice from behind her greets. She turns around and smiles when she sees Klaus.

"Hey. Long time, no see," Davina chuckles and the two share a hug.

"You don't look a day over twenty," Klaus remarks with a smirk.

"I'm flattered," she responds heartily. "But that's what witchcraft is for." Davina then takes a deep breath and crosses her arms. "I'm sorry to say that you can't stay. Hope's here."

"I have no interest in infecting my daughter with this darkness. Once we've found her mother, I'll crawl back to whence I came. Davina, this city reeks of blood like it hasn't since the War of 1812."

"Then maybe you should cut the chit-chats you've been having with Elijah short," Davina advises with a frown. "You'd never know how annoying blood rain is until it stains everything."

"No story that begins with water turning into blood has ever ended in triumph. I need to leave or things are gonna get worse. Tell me about Hayley."

"Well, Freya and I have been trying every locator spell in every language. No such luck so far," she informs him. Suddenly, Klaus speeds away just as Hope runs in.

"Dad?"

Davina walks into Hope's bedroom and begins to throw a few magical ingredients into a basket but stops when she sees someone.

"Um...does Hope usually just keep guys stowed away in her bedroom, or is this new?"

The teenager chuckles nervously and rubs the back of his head. "Hope invited me in. I'm not looking for any trouble. She just told me to stay here until she returned."

Davina purses her lips and puts down the basket. "And who might you be?"

"Uh, Roman. Hope and I are kinda, sorta friends," he stammers.

"Hmm. Well, since I'm her cool aunt," Davina prompts sarcastically. "I recommend you leave here as quickly as possible. Wouldn't want her dad to return and tear your head off for hiding in her bedroom."

"Yes, ma'am." Roman swiftly walks past her, causing Davina to roll her eyes.

Davina lets out a frustrated groan as her locator spell fails once again. She begins pacing around the room with a hand on her head, trying to figure out how would be powerful enough to block her magic. Suddenly, her phone rings, breaking Davina out of her train-of-thought.

"Hey," she answers with a slight smile.

"I got your voicemail," Kol tells her. "What happened?"

"To Hayley? We have no idea. I'm freaking out right now because, for some reason, even my locator spell isn't strong enough to find out where she's hidden," Davina sighs.

"And Nik is in town as well?"

"Yeah, which isn't good. It rained blood last night."

"Well, didn't that just turn out a little convenient?"

Davina furrows her eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Think about it, love. Who has the power to cast a cloaking spell so strong that even you couldn't break it? And who would kidnap Hayley, knowing that it would draw attention to even the maddest Mikaelson?"
