THE next day Liana dressed in complete silence before the sun had even risen from behind the curtains. Her head was pounding from all the crying she had done the night before and as she looked in the mirror she saw she had smudges of mascara down her cheeks. She crept over Ginny's sleeping form and Hermione who was curled up in bed with crookshanks purring at her feet.

Once she left the room she snuck down the silent corridor and pressed her ear against the room of Harry and Ron and judged by the snores that echoed out, Ron was definitely still asleep. But Liana was almost certain that Harry wasn't. She pushed the door open a fraction, trying to make as little noise as possible.

Harry was lying on his bed facing the ceiling with his eyes glued open, as if drowned in thought.

"Harry-" Liana hissed and Harry's head shot up. He couldn't help but smile as he caught sight of Liana.

"What are you doing awake already?" Harry whispered to her as he clambered out of bed and over to the door where Liana stood.

"I wanted to talk to you- there's a few things i need to get off my chest. Come with me?- I don't want to wake Ron," Liana asked and she offered Harry her hand. Harry immediately grabbed it and linked his fingers through hers. He followed Liana out of the bedroom and quietly down the creaky stairs into the kitchen.

No one else was awake and the house was silent other than the constant tick of the grandfather clock in the hallway.

"What's up?" Harry asked as he leant against the kitchen counter, watching Liana who closed the door quietly behind her. Liana sighed again as she turned around, tucking a red curl nervously behind her ear.

"I haven't really spoken properly to you about things since last time we were here," Liana admitted as she chewed the inside of her cheek in a worried fashion.

"I have to ask— you know my father isn't Leonard don't you? Tell the truth Harry," Liana stated, giving Harry her knowing eyes as she settled herself in a chair at the table near Harry. Harry frowned but nodded feeling rather guilty in the pit of his stomach.

"Sirius told me in a letter a few months ago and asked me not to tell you. I didn't want to mention it anyway because- well- we weren't really talking, and to be honest I thought it would be better if you brought it up. It wasn't down to me to confront you on something so personal when we weren't speaking," Harry told her as he pushed his glasses up his nose thoughtfully.

"Do you know who my real father is though?" Liana questioned as she tried to slow her breathing and remain calm. Something in her told her that maybe now she should open up to Harry. That now was the time to be honest with him about everything.

"No, Sirius said that was for you to say when you found out- why, do you know?" Harry asked furrowing his brow at the beautiful girl in front of him. Liana sniffed as she felt a couple of tears well up and she swallowed the stone in her throat down. She refused to cry anymore over this.
