LIANA Holly was still feeling the effects of the night before as she dragged herself from the bed sheets between Pansy and Hermione the next morning. Her head felt like it was splitting open and her skin was illustrated with various scrapes and bruises from the amount she had been tossed about.

As much as she tried to push the foggy memories from the previous evening out of her head, she could still hear the voices in her head of Harry and Draco quarrelling passionately as she was shepherd off by the girls. She wondered, through her pounding brain, whether the boys had resorted to blows or not. Perhaps they would manage to settle everything peacefully? But on reconsideration, Liana decided the chances of Harry or Draco opting for anything but violence was unlikely.

Liana dressed in the half darkness of the dorm room, yanking on some clean robes and stripping her party dress from her skin. She scooped her hair back, attempting to use the hem of her robes to wipe away any discarded makeup that had smudged beneath her eyes. She fumbled in her trunk at the base of the bed, searching and searching for something.

Until, with the soft clink of potions bottles, she withdrew a small vial of honey coloured liquid, examining it closely. She felt as if the sheer vibrancy of the potion itself was enough to emanate hope and happiness. And Liana knew exactly who needed it the most.

As she snatched up her wand and hurried towards the door of the dorm, she took a brief glance behind her. In the gap between the two girls that Liana had left, they had now filled. Pansy's head resting on Hermione's chest and Hermione's arm loosely wrapped around Pansy's shoulders, both girls entwined in the most unusual and yet endearing friendship.

Liana smiled to herself as she ducked out of the room in silence.

When Liana managed to drag her hungover, aching body down to the dungeons of the castle, squinting at every bright light she could see, she was almost certain that it was much later in the day than she initially predicted. She must have slept right through the majority of the day and from the Great Hall the familiar sound of crashing cutlery emerged. She felt the temperature drop a few degrees as she descended deeper into the castle, walking straight up to the stretch of stone wall she was beginning to recognise easily nowadays.

"Salazar."

Liana's voice was scratchy and her throat ached as she spoke, but as soon as the word was uttered, the wall sprang to life, shifting to allow her passageway into the Slytherin common room. It was thankfully empty inside and Liana completed the final leg of her journey as she strode towards a door on the farthest wall.

Liana's knock on the door of Draco's room went unanswered, the hollow sound cutting through the silence that hung in the air. Liana nibbled her lip, her stomach sinking in disappointment. It was foolish of her to hope that Draco had not been serious when he told her to keep away. But of course, his whole life was about to change- he wouldn't want to cause Liana anymore damage.
