HERMIONE Jean Granger had never been the kind of girl to take shit from other people.

When she was in her younger years at Hogwarts she had been incessantly teased by her peers for her eagerness to learn and her knowledge, but now she had gotten to the age where she no longer stood for that kind of mistreating.

And if there was one thing Hermione knew, it was that Liana was being completely mistreated. Hermione glanced over to where Liana was fast asleep across the dorm room, spread eagled on her bed, still dressed in her clothes from yesterday, her makeup smudged across the silky white pillow and a stack of tissues beside her face from her tears about Harry yesterday.

Hermione pushed Crookshanks gently off her bed and pulled on her fluffy dressing gown and slippers, heading across the room just to check Liana was still alive.

Liana grumbled sleepily under her breath as Hermione lifted a curtain of red curls to check Liana's face and give her a small prod.

"Go back to sleep Liana, I was just checking on you," Hermione whispered to her and Liana didn't need telling twice. Almost instantly she had dropped off into yet another peaceful, Harry free, slumber.

Hermione slouched down the stairs to the common room, rubbing sleep out of her eyes as she searched for the person who had many things to answer for.

Harry Potter was sleeping on the sofa where he had been sitting last night, the box of chocolates beside him, now empty, and his glasses dangling off one ear as he snoozed away. Hermione huffed and with a sharp nudge, jerked Harry awake.

"Ugh Hermione- what time is it?" Harry groaned as he blinked in the morning sunlight that filtered through the windows.

"It's time for you to wake up and tell me what the hell has been going on with you," stated Hermione roughly as she curled up on the sofa at Harry's feet, wrapping her dressing gown tighter around her cat pyjamas.

"What do you mean? I've been acting completely normal. It's everyone else that has lost the plot," Harry complained under his breath as he fixed his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose and yawned loudly.

"So I suppose ignoring the girl you've been in love with for the last three years is just the norm then?" Hermione challenged, raising her eyebrows. Harry frowned darkly, his expression clouding over suddenly.

"I don't want to talk about Liana or Ginny," he snapped rather rudely.

Hermione looked very offended and her voice had lost all tones of sympathy and warmth as she spoke. "Harry do I need to repeat myself? You love Liana. You always have and anyone would be an idiot not to see it. You're Liana's boyfriend for crying out loud! So bloody start acting like it!" Hermione badgered firmly. Harry looked lost in thought in thought however.
