Hc: if you were to find L in the middle of a suicide attempt, you'd stop him.

You had a bad feeling today. You see, the Kira case had made everyone pretty stressed. The taskforce were excused for a little holiday to see their families but L had to continue to work.

You always knew L wasn't the best when it came to mental health, you knew he was going through a lot but he refused to talk about it with you. You worried for him so you always stayed around him... but you had no choice but to go out today.

That meant leaving L at taskforce... alone. Watari has gone to meet with the ICPO and you had to hand some important papers over the the police station. You made the trip as quick as you could and reached back to taskforce.

You just felt off... something was wrong.

You arrived back at taskforce and buzzed yourself through security, you opened the door to the main room and... there was water running down the stairs...

And L wasn't working as usual.

Oh no.

You dropped everything and scrambled up the stairs, running through the soaked halls and up to the bathrooms where you found the door locked. Water was flooding from the gap under the door. You bashed the door as hard as you could.

No response.

"No no no no!" You began to panic.

You had no choice but to break the door down.

You skidded down the hall and opened the supply closet. You found an axe and rushed back to the door.

By now tears were starting to fall down your cheeks, fearing it was too late. You swung the axe at the doors hinges, making them bend. You swung it again, knocking one off the doorframe. You repeatedly hit the door until it was loose enough to kick down. You dropped the axe and kicked the door as hard as you could, making it fall off the doorframe and smash against the ground with a loud bang.

You rushed into the room, and just as you feared, you found L fully clothed at the bottom of an overflowing bath.

"NO NO NO! YOU FUCKING IDIOT L!" You screamed, reaching into the water and pulling him up, he was limp, unresponsive and completely soaked. You held him up with your arms and kicked at the tap until it turned off. You dragged him out into the hall and lay him on the floor.

"You idiot! You idiot! You IDIOT"

You couldn't hear him breathing, this was bad.

You had no choice but to perform CPR and hope he's wake up. You pressed the emergency signal on your belt three times, and seconds later you got a call fl Watari, you put it in speaker and tossed it on a dry part of the floor.

"Miss (y/n) what's wrong?" He asked.

"L'S TRIED TO DROWN HIMSELF!" You cried.

"He WHAT-"

"I CAME BACK AND THE WHOLE PLACE WAS FLOODED, I HAD TO BREAK DOWN THE DOOR AND PULL HIM OUT OF THE BATH AND HES NOT BREATHING" you sobbed.

"Do you know CPR?"

"Yeah I'm trying-"

"I'll call and ambulance, I'm on my way over!"

With that the call cut off and you instantly got to work trying to revive L. You remembered this from your time training to be a police officer.
