/ First Person POV /

There was no way it was possible: Kylo Ren was supposed to be on a mission. But there was also no doubt, all of my senses knew he was in the room, he was in The Supremacy. I wanted nothing more than to run up to him, fall to my knees and beg for forgiveness, but I couldn't. Even if I wasn't in the presence of the Supreme Leader, I had no right to even glance at him. What I had done was unforgivable, and I had to live with that, even if it would bring misery and guilt for the rest of my life. But I knew it wasn't true. I was aware what I had done was unforgivable, but I was scared. Scared of how he would react, because even after the months of arduous physical and mental training with Captain Phasma, I was still the same foolish girl that had been found with no memories in Mesoriaam, deep down: I was still a coward.

I turned back towards Supreme Leader Snoke, who had remained silent since I had arrived inside the room with General Hux, and I was worried he had heard my thoughts, even though I had blocked them. I saw out of the corner of my eye how Hux was standing: with his back so straight his spine could have snapped, and his stare: it was still as intimidating, but I could catch a glimpse of fear in his face. " Come closer, child." Came a frigid and raspy voice that echoed in the throne room: Snoke. My mind was paralyzed with fear as I took soundless steps closer towards the only lighting in the room, right in front of the throne. I looked around at the guards in red, they seemed... dead. As if none had a mind of their own.

" Kylo." Snoke called out, and only hearing his name sent shivers down my spine. Coming from behind, I could hear the footsteps from his boots echo slightly around the room. I fixed my posture, to make it resemble more like Hux's as Kylo's tall figure appeared next to me. I held my breath, it had been so long since I had last felt his presence, and I couldn't help but stare at him out of the corner of my eye. " Kylo. You were not wrong, my apprentice." Snoke said, in a voice that would haunt me forever. " She. She is indeed, the change in the force, well done." I was a little startled: I had assumed Snoke would have never been able to congratulate someone. " Thank you, master." Kylo had replied, in his distortioned voice. I didn't like it, he sounded like a droid, and not human. I knew how sweet his voice could be, and hearing through a mask was like living a nightmare.

I stood still. I would not make myself visible unless spoken to. It was odd. I had done intense mental training with Captain Phasma and once with Kylo, but nothing could compare to what my mind was facing in this room. I was face to face with evil, with the dark side. It felt wrong, but something about it was compelling. " Step closer, y/n." Snoke said, but I knew he was ordering me to do it. There was something in the way he said my name that sent an unpleasant shiver through my body. But I did as I was told, I stepped closer, making sure my footsteps would make no sound.

" She would be suitable." Snoke said out loud, but I had the impression he was talking to himself. " She would make an efficient Praetorian Guard." Was all he said. Of course, praetorian guards! I told myself. My mind had been so worried and rushed I had not identified that the eight statue- looking warriors were Elite Praetorian Guards. I had read much about them during my weeks of lockdown months ago. They were the Supreme Leader's personal bodyguards, and would be trained as martyrs, I recalled. But I looked around the room, there were eight of them, and that was the distribution of the Praetorian guards. Fear spread through me, as I wondered how the Supreme Leader would want me to possibly join the Praetorian Guards if their numbers were fulfilled.

Snoke nodded slowly, and a guard that had in his possession an electro- bisento, - The First Guard- swiftly jabbed his weapon into the abdomen of the guard next to him, who I recognized as the Third Guard based on his weapon: a Bilari electro- chain whip. The Praetorian Guard fell to the ground in an instant; dead. Now there was seven guards, and I knew what that meant. I wanted to scream, but no yell was coming out of my mouth, and I knew that anyways, shrieking would not be the best thing to do. I could feel Kylo shift in discomfort, and him not being confident on the situation concerned me. I was terrified how the Praetorian Guard had killed his confrere, without hesitation. The idea that the Supreme Leader wanted me to become someone like that was sickening.

That was all. I had only been on The Supremacy to witness the murder of a Praetorian guard, and I was his replacement. Kylo grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the throne room quickly. He walked very fast down the halls of The Supremacy and back towards the huge takeoff terrace. I could see his Command Shuttle near the one I had arrived in, and I wondered how I hadn't seen it when I arrived with Hux. Kylo didn't say anything, he didn't even look at me as he boarded his shuttle and pushed me inside as well. He was furious, and I would normally be scared of him when he acted like this, but I couldn't. I was staring at his mask, and my heart was relieved to feel his presence.
