/ First Person Protagonist POV /

My slow footsteps made a slightly crunching sound under the rocky ground as I walked to where I thought the Emperor's Sith throne would be. The only thing fueling my exhausted body was the thought of victory in every sense. For the resistance, for the galaxy, for the light side of the force, and for me and Ben.

" How far away is the Sith throne room?" I grumbled. to myself out loud. " How the hell can a place be so big? It's impossible the Sith Eternal had so much time to create this place and make a huge star destroyer fleet since the fall of the empire."

Usually, I wouldn't mind the distance between my location and the throne room auditorium, I would usually get there quickly, but my body was aching everywhere. The fight with the Knights of Ren had taken a toll on me. Of what help will I even be over there? How can I help Rey and Ben if I struggle to walk? I sighed. No. I have to. It doesn't matter what I do. I have to keep my promise with Ben. Together, until the end

" I don't like being here alone..." I huffed under my breath. " I've obviously got the disadvantage now..."

Suddenly, a red blast landed not even an inch away from my foot, and I swiftly turned around to see where the shot had came from. Dammit! Sovereign Protectors! I exclaimed as I noticed the soldiers in red that had previously been hidden by the darkness and the mist.

What did I expect? This place to be unguarded? That I could just walk around towards the Sith throne room and not get into any kind of trouble? I rolled my eyes as I ignited the Darksaber and readied myself for any possible ambushed attack.

I could only count on how good my precision would be with an exhausted body and mind, because the Sovereign Protectors wouldn't be dumb enough to engage in close combat if I had a lightsaber and they had blasters.

" Isn't this my bloody luck." I huffed and gripped the Darksaber's hilt in both hands, ready to deflect the blasts from the only three visible Sovereign Protectors. I'd always been better at engaging in combat over deflecting blasts, but I was still fairly capable of dealing with Sith troopers, especially if the conflict between the light and the dark side, as well as the future of the galaxy, was being decided in an auditorium not far from me as I fought off Sovereign Protectors.

The three Sovereign Protectors began shooting at me, which luckily, I was able to either avoid or deflect with the Darksaber, hitting two of the troopers with their own blasts. " I'm actually not as bad as i thought I'd be." I shrugged as I ducked under a red blast coming from the last Sovereign Protector alive. " How is he still standing?! The other two were fairly easy to take down."

I didn't try to approach the Sovereign Protector at first, I was simply avoiding and deflecting his blasts as best as I could, but eventually it got long. My legs are going to hate me for running, but what choice to I have? This is a waste of time. I grumbled as I forced my body to advance quickly towards the soldier in red.

The Sovereign Protector's imposing blaster stood no chance against the Darksaber in close combat, and I swiftly slashed him across the chest. The Sovereign Protector fell to the ground on his side as I leaned my head back to catch my breath.

I turned on my heel and began walking the same way I was originally heading. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw some movement coming from behind me, but I wasn't fast enough to react. The Sovereign Protector, even with the mortal wound I had inflicted, had managed to grab the blaster and shoot various times in my direction.

The Darksaber was still ignited and in my hand, but as I made a sharp turn to protect myself, one of the blasts hit my leg. I ignored the pain for a split second, enough to divert the other red blasts, and luckily, one had been deflected towards the Sovereign Protector.
