After declining Nicholas, I stayed with Tony and tried to have some normalcy in my life. Tony took back control of his company, and was trying his best to changeit to what he would imagine it to be. With the help of Pepper and I, he was creating many new technologies, and was putting in place towers that would eventually be able to help create self sustaining energy from the help of hisnew element and the arc reactor technology. These towers he hoped would helpgenerate more clean power for not only the country but the whole world. While we stayed in New York I would take some days to go visit Peggy in Washington to see how she was. Her health was slowly detreating, but I continued to try and keep my hopes up that she would pull through.
A few months later, on one of our visits she had asked me if I had seen Steve, and I had to once again remind her that he was no longer here with us, but she insisted that she had seen him. She kept trying to tell me that he was alive, after all these years. I just started to go along with it, trying not to put too much strain on her. I tried contacting Fury or Coulson about what she had been talking about but they would just brush it off as part of her dementia or Alzheimer's, I finally just started believing what they were telling me. Between seeing Peggy, I continued to help Tony in his tower, and a year later he was ready to turn the tower on. If only I had known that, that tower was only the beginning of something that was about to bring the man that I once thought to be lost back into my life and set into a motion a whole ordeal of things that were going to change all or our lives forever.
