It had finally happened, I had finally gotten Steve back into my life, and I was happy. After the events that had taken place in New York City, Steve and I had left taking some time to ourselves. We visited Peggy a few times, reliving the past, and it secretly pained me to see her getting older as Steve and I were staying young. As Steve and I were in Washington, Nick had asked us to come back and work for SHIELD, do the odd mission and we had agreed, knowing we both still felt the call to duty. We had been living in Washington for over a year, both in our own places as Steve and I hadn't really established what we were to one another. What I didn't know was that Fury was having Steve watched, and there were many other secrets that were about to reveal themselves.
The latest mission we agree to do, reveals that Nick had been keeping us both in the dark. Then an old enemy makes their way back into our lives, and things are completely turned upside down for Steve and I. A ghost I had been chasing for years appears and when that ghost is unmasked, things really begin to unravel for Steve and I and it causes me to rethink the past seventy years.
