The Parents

"TETSU! OUR GUESTS ARE COMING IN 2 HOURS AND YOU HAVENT EVEN FINSIHED MAKING THE FUCKING FOOD!" Kenma yelled from the dinning table. They were holding a Turkey Day dinner. "SORRY KEN KEN TRUST ME THOUGH THE FOOD IS ALMOST DONE!" Kenma was frantic. Not many people knew this but Kenma was a perfectionist when it came to setting up things. When he would put up posters on his wall, he would have to grab a ruler and do the math to find how to get it exactly straight or else he freaked out. Kenma has been busy setting up the large table for over an hour so he put Kuroo in charge of the food. Also Kuroo is a much better cook, and their guests were also bringing food as well. Oh yeah, and the guests? They were Kuroos parents. Kenma hadnt met them before because they live two cities away but they finally came into town to visit. Kenma was very very thankful that Kuroos parents support him in having a boyfriend so Kenma wasnt worried about that. "Tetsurou! Quiz me again." "Baby you are freaking out to much. Im not quizing you on my family, you will be fine." Kenma tapped his foot nervously while aranging assortments of flowers in the middle of the table. "Also baby, there is nothing to worry about because I have a surprise coming for you! It took me forever to find her number." Kenma froze. "What do you mean 'her' number? Who are you talking about?" "Well since my parents were coming over I thought it would be more comfortable if your mom wa-" "MY MOTHER IS COMING???!" Kuroo looked at Kenma. His face was flushed and he looked pissed and scared as all hell. "Uh um- yea?" "BABE MY MOM IS HOMOPHOBIC!" Kuroo swear he felt his heart drop to the pit of his stomach. Kenma never talked about his mom, only about his dad and if Kuroo ever asked about his mom he would just say she lived far away. "B-baby im so sorry I-I didnt know I-" "Its fine just. . . What did you tell her about yourself?" Kuroo looked at the floor. "Well I uh- um I told her my name was Kuroo Tetsurou and that I am your boyfriend and that I wanted her over for the holiday. She said she was super excited and said she would bring food so i gave her the adress." Kenma felt like he was about to faint. "Hun, my mom is probably trying to poison us." Kuroo had a dead look on his face. He just stood in the kitchen staring at Kenma. "Uh babe? Are you good? You know we can always just uninvite her right?" Kuroo shook his head no. Kenma was confused. "Kenma she uh. . . Is kinda already here and was just waiting upstairs to surprise you. . ." Kenma turned around and saw his mom there holding a tray that she placed on the counter. "HI MY KENMA HOW HAVE YOU BEEN MY ANGEL?" She ran and pulled Kenma in a big hug which Kenma pushed away from. "Tetsu knows you are homophobic so you can stop with the act now bitch." Kenmas mom scoffed and sat down at the table. "I dont care if he knows Im homophobic or not. Lets just try to have a nice dinner so I can see how my dissapointment is doing in his life." Kenmas mom gave an evil smirk to which Kuroo spoke up. "Kenma is not a dissapointment. He is the best person I know so I would appreciate if you were to lea-" Kuroos talking was interupted by the doorbell. Kenma gave a quick glance of 'Dont say a word or Ill kill you' to his mom and went to open the door. Kenma opened the door and was grabbed by to very strong arms.

"OMG YOU MUST BE KENMA! ITS SO NICE TO MEET YOU! IM TETSUROUS MOTHER. YOU CAN CALL ME MOM AS WELL." She let go of Kenma and held him back to get a look at him. "OMG look at you! Youre so cute! I see why my son chose you. Speaking of Tetsurou where is that brat. BRAT CHILD COME OUT AND SAY HELLO TO YOUR DEAREST MOTHER AND HELP ME WITH THE FOOD." Kenma didnt know how to respond to Kuroos mother. Kuroo came rushing out of the kitchen. "Mom you werent supposed to be here for another hour! But anyway hi ma how are you. Hey baby can you help me with the food?." Kenma gave a small nod and tried to take the food from the bag Kuroos mother brought but she pulled the bag away from Kenma. "No. Tetsurou is a strong boy he can get it himself. You and I are gonna go talk on the couch about future grandchildren!" "MOM!! DONT BE EMBARRASING!" "SHUT UP AND TAKE THE FOOD ALREADY." Kuroo sighed and took the food from his mother. Kenma looked back to see Kuroo but instead saw his mother. "Im going to go outside in your yard. Call me when you are going to eat ok? Bye." Kenma gave his mom the middle finger to which Kuroos mother gasped a little. Kenmas mom scoffed and walked out the back door. "Im so sorry about that. Tetsu decided to call my mom not knowing she was homophobic and she agreed to come just to be a bitch. Im so sorry." Kenma bowed to Kuroos mom. "Aww sweetie its ok. We dont except bitches in our family so dont worry about it." Kenma stood back up straight and gave a soft smile. "Um im sorry but isnt your husband also suppose to be here?" Kuroos mom sighed, closed the door behind her, and started taking off her jacket. "He had a emergency buisness meeting so he told me to go alone and he would come over for the winter solstice. Anyway come on lets go sit so I can learn more about you!" Kenma nodded and the two walked over to the couch. They sat down. "Sooo, are you the type of male that can have children?" Kenma blushed from embarrasment at how forward Kuroos mother was. "Uh. . . Im not sure. Ive never really checked with my doctor." "Oh ok well even if you cant, do you ever want children?" Kenma gave some thought about it. He thought about having little kids running around and him being happy with Kuroo by his side. "Yea. . . I think I do want kids eventually. Just of course not anytime soon." Kuroos mother nodded. "Do you want anything to drink? Water, tea?" "Tea would be perfect dear, thank you. SON OF MINE! MAKE ME AND YOUR SWEET BOYFRIEND SOME TEA!" "YES MA'AM" Kenma could see Kuroo scramble to get tea ready from the living room. "Im gonna go help him so-" "No you are not. I still havent even heard how you two love birds met." Kenma sighed in defeat but couldnt contain his smile. Kuroos mom seemed to really like him and its not like his mother ever liked him. His mother liked him until he came out to her and his father when he was a 1st year. His father was very accepting but his mother said it was a phase. His mother ended up kicking him out when he was a 3rd year for being gay and Kenma went to live with Hinata for about half a year until he got his own place. Kenma told Kuroos mother about how they met and got together to which Kuroos mother started crying yelling about how sweet and romantic it was. By the time Kenma was done telling the story, Kuroo was bringing tea out for his mother and Kenma. "Ok here is the tea for my lovely mother and here is tea for my love" Kuroo gave the two their cups of tea and gave Kenma a kiss on the cheek. "Ok I need to go back and set up the food and-" "Tetsu, calm down. The table is set, the food is done, and my bitch mother is outside so just sit down and talk with us ok?" Kuroo smiled and happily sat down next to Kenma. They were talking with Kuroos mother about a ton of different things, mostly about Kuroo and Kenmas relationship. "So Kenma, has Tetsurou proposed yet?" Kenma was in the middle of drinking his tea and started to choke and cough. "MOM! Can you like not say that out loud please? We arent engaged just yet so chill." "Damn ok child but you kids are so in love and its so cute! Tetsurou, you should just propose, get married, and then have babies." Kenma stopped coughing but was still in shock. "Ma, if you keep saying stuff like that you will break Ken Ken. Yea I want kids one day but he might not so can you please stop now?" Kuroos mom gave a smirk, scarily similar to Kuroos smirk. "Oh but he told me just a while ago that he wants kids one day to, isnt that right Kenma?" Kuroo quickly shot his gaze to Kenma and Kenma blushed. "I-i mean yea, one day." Kenma looked at Kuroo to see his reaction and he swears its like Kuroos eyes had stars in them. He was smiling like an idiot. "Baby, we will talk more about this later when my mother isnt here ok?" Kenma giggled. "Ok hun" Kuroo leaned in and gave Kenma a quick kiss on the lips. It was like they were in their own little world until they heard squealing. Kuroos mom was smiling very big and squealing while holding face. "OMG YOU CHILDREN ARE SO CUTE AND PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER! AND KENMA CALLED YOU HUN- LIKE GET MARRIED ALREADY! YOU PRACTICALLY ALREADY ARE! WAIT, LET ME GET MY PHONE. I NEED YOU TWO TO KISS AGAIN AND ILL TAKE A PICTURE AND SEND IT TO YOUR FATHER HE WILL LITERALLY SCREAM FROM HOW CUTE YOU GUYS ARE!" "MOM!"
