..."We're leaving."...

"Hey, where are we going?"

Levi:
"..."

You rolled your eyes.
"Oh wow."

You and Levi walked down, while you still held that book eagerly under your arm.
As you passed the dim halls with him, your look switched between the deeply coloured curtains into the outside world, which was tinted into even stronger and colder colours. The blue stretched out through the landscapes like the sea undertaking its territory, as if it flowed similar to an extending puddle, which embraced the vast fields in its vicinity.
Levi slowed his pace, because you did, not minding how you drifted off into your own thoughts.

He glanced at you, not knowing why the view of you being fascinated consumed his own curiosity as well. The small smile on your lips appeared and he knew you'd turn around to speak, so he turned first, causing you not to notice him watching you.

„I really liked the library.", you simply said with a small smile.
Levi stayed silent, as you went down the stairs, which were graced with the faint light of the torches on the sides of the walls.

As you arrived at the girl's bedroom section, you knew that that's where the both of you should part, even though you hoped for Levi to pull out the superior's card, making you join him in his room.
He looked at you expressionlessly, after you both arrived at the door.
You continued smiling, while he stood there with the hands inside of his empty pockets.
„Go sleep.", he solely said, opening the door for you.

„Goodnight."

You faced the door and let yourself glide into the sinister room. Releasing a sigh, you went to your bed, after which you were greeted by Ymir.
„Eheh, how's paradise look like?", she chuckled.

You slipped into your pyjama, rolled your socks off and slumped under the cold sheets.
„I wish I knew."

Ymir smirked, even though you weren't able to see it in the obscurity. But slowly, her own smile faded and she turned around inside of her bed, putting her arms underneath her pillow, gazing up aimlessly.
„Same."

The two of you were silent and it was actually okay. A long time had passed since you had both kept the seriousness floating around the air like this, because you and her usually just joked around mostly.
„Hey Ymir."

„What, sissy?"

„Can I ask you something?"

„Shoot."
You pressed your lips together for shortly.
„I remember you telling me of how you wanted to marry Historia."

Silence.

„Have you...", you frowned the slightest.
„Given up on that dream?"

Quietness.

You realised that you maybe shouldn't have asked. It was something very personal and you knew Ymir had a coping mechanism when it came to her and this one and only weak spot she owned.
„I'm sorry.", you apologised thereafter, something profound marking your tone of voice.

Ymir's face tensed, as her eyes hit the harsh cement above your heads.
She thought of something and she had heard you, you knew that. What you didn't know though, was how this invisible dagger jammed into her chest at once.

An inaudible sigh escaped her lips, as she let her body relax again, with her typically easy smile gracing her freckled cheeks.
"Why? You wanna marry me now, or what?"

You chuckled slightly at that.
And still. You worried about Ymir. She hadn't seen Historia for a long time and you were aware of how lonely she must've felt, since you spend most of your time with Levi or Hange.
"I just wondered."
