..."Think of the halls."...
In the next day, you strolled back from the basement into the upper storeys with Hange.
"Hange, do you know where Levi is?", you questioned, while going up.
"No... But he'll probably arrive soon too."
Hange and you hadn't seen him at all this early morning, which was quite unusual, so you unconsciously worried a little.
"Why do you ask? Is there something you want to tell him?", she grinned and let her eyebrows dance.
"...or even me?""No, I only-", you set on to say, before she disrupted.
"I understand, I understand.", Hange then cleared her throat, as if she tried to tell you, that everything's alright.
"But I'm an adult, (Y/N), I see everything. You can tell me all you truly think, I won't gossip, hehe."In your thoughts:
Yeah, for sure."Be honest, what's on your mind?"
Why does everyone want to know what I'm thinking about?, you thought slightly annoyed.
Inside, you made a cup of tea and carried it with yourself, trying to ignore her stare.
Hange in the meanwhile, tried to look very stern, but it was clear to you, that she obviously was a little crackers."You and Levi, Levi and you. Ahh, wouldn't that be great? The you of two compliment one another with each and every curse, that the first tells the second."
"Hange, come on, let it be.", you wanted her to stop and sighed.
"Eh? Tell me, am I lying? I've known this grump since- well, since... uh...
How long has he been with the Survey Corps?""I don't know, he didn't tell me.", you replied bluntly.
"And how long have I been here for?"
"Hange.", you lastly stopped her.
"It's over, okay? There's nothing to talk about, if it's only one sided. Do you understand?""OOOOOH!", she exclaimed excitedly, raised her hands up and opened her mouth, just to let it slip back into a sassy grin.
"So there is something on one side?"You slapped your internal face for saying that.
"No, Hange, that's not what I-""HAHAA! Got you tight here. So, speak the truth and the truth only. In conclusion, that means you do feel something and there exists even a tiny ounce of fire enflaming your fiery flamy-heart?"
You disrupted her flow of talking.
"Okay, so you start first.", you now eyed her carefully with a frown.
"What did you carry up the floors yesterday?"Hange muted for a moment, before she nervously scratched her neck and laughed.
"What do you mean? I don't know what you mean, do you know what she means?", she turned to the side, as if somebody was there. That was too easy, you thought.
Distraction might be her only weakness.Arriving at the table, you continuously observed her in slight caution, due to the fact, that you actually wanted to know the answer to your question.
Levi was already positioned on his place, having one of his white, greenish and goldenly covered cups on the board in front of him."I think you must've seen someone else, haha!", Hange laughed loudly.
"What? No. I'm convinced, that you carried up an entire box filled with jingling stuff a-"
"WHAT?", she gasped.
"Are you alright?", Hange came nearer to you, placing a hand on your forehead.
"I think you have fewer, what do you say, Levi?"
