... "Yes sir!", I shouted and felt all of their looks on me ...

In your bed
Heichou.
Commander.
Humanities strongest soldier.
All of these titles were his, but what did they mean to him?

I looked to the ceiling of our room and I couldn't help but think about him standing above me and whispering, demanding from me to give up. Why did he even give me a second chance?
Stop. What the hell (Y/N)? It doesn't even matter, just be glad.
I frowned.

I was so lost in thoughts, that I didn't notice Christa entering the room.
"Hey, (Y/N)! How are you? I heard today was your last test... oh my god, are you okay?", she asked me concerned after seeing some bruises on my face.

"Yes, both times, don't worry, just a few scratches.", I smiled. "Who told you about that?"

"Oh, it was Eren. He said you were a little nervous and he actually wanted to talk to you about it, but I guess he's a little...", she smirked, "...uncertain when it comes to you".
I was kind of confused.

"Thanks Christa. It was indeed ... intense."

"How so?", she asked and sat down beside me, touching my shoulder.

"My fighting-partner was Levi."

Her eyes widened:
"Wh-What? Are you okay?"

"Well, he's a great fighter. And really fast and ... honestly, I had no chance.", I said looking down.

"It's Levi, (Y/N). Nobody's better than him and nobody's ever beaten him when it comes to a fight or slaughtering Titans."

"I see.", I said to her in thoughts.

"Are you-", I was interrupted by the opening of a door.

"What the hell Eren, you can't just go in! Christa might be changing! Stop!", we heard Ymir yell.

We saw an anxious-looking Eren at the entrance. "Is everybody here dressed?", he asked with his fingers before his eyes.

"Yes", I giggled.
Eren put his hand away and looked to us with a smile, which changed all of the sudden, when seeing me.

"Are you okay, (Y/N)?", he asked worriedly.

"Yes she is you idiot. Isn't she alive?", we heard Ymir's voice at the door and saw her entering with a dark expression.
"And now go out, before I kick your ass out myself!", she said angrily.
Eren ignored her and sat down by my other side.

"I'm fine Eren, really.", I said, trying to reassure him.

"Who did that to you?"
Now Ymir got really angry and went to Eren, grabbed his arm and pulled him out.
"Hey!", he shouted.
"Meet me down in the canteen in 10 minutes!", was all he was able to say before being pushed out by Ymir.

"Okay", I giggled.

"What an absolute idiot", Ymir mourned, until seeing Christa sitting really close to me on the ground.
"Didn't you want to meet Eren or something?", she asked grimly.

-

As I went down the stairs, careful to not wake the others up, I saw Eren waiting on a small table near the windows.
"Hey (Y/N)", he said and his beautiful eyes sparkled shortly from the torch-lights.

I sat down beside him and smiled softly. "Hey Eren."

We sat on the table, when he took a deep breath:
"Would you please tell me who did this to you?", he asked while looking seriously at me.

"It was commander Levi.", I bluntly responded.

"L-Levi? You fought against him?"

"Yes."

"But that's nonsense! It's just your entrance-test and of course you won't be able to pass it, when he's fighting against you!"

I smiled at his reaction: "Well, I'm just going to do it again next year."

"That's bullshit! We need to do something against this injustice!", now the fire in Eren's eyes captivated me.

"It's okay, really. The test before that wasn't that good either, so-"

"(Y/N), you do agree with me that it was unfair, right?", he stared at me.

"Sure. Just don't let it bother you, Eren. Some things aren't influenced by us."

"But I don't want you to go!"

We looked into each other's eyes and suddenly I felt so much warmth inside.
Nobody had ever said something like this to me.
I observed his face carefully. He had a beautiful face.
Eren's look wandered from my eyes to my nose, down to my bruised lip.
"Wh..y do you say that?", I asked.

I couldn't move a muscle and Eren got closer and closer to me, so that I could even feel his breath.
"I-"

*klirr*
Both of us turned around to see an expressionless Levi on the chair in front of the counter.
"Are you both ready with your silly chit-chat?", he asked.
Eren momentarily turned red, as did I and both of us stood up straight.
"Did you want to tell me something, Eren?", Levi asked with his rough, monotone voice.

"N-no, si-sir.", Eren stared straight at him.

„Then you're here after the allowed bed-time without a clear explanation.", Levi sipped on his tea.
Eren died of fear, I could tell, but so did I.

"Go to your room now."

"Yes, sir!", Eren said still petrified.
He turned around and went back and I wanted to follow him.

"Not you."
Great.
I turned around.
Levi got up and draw closer.
"So you feel unfairly treated. Correct?"

I took a deep breath.
"I don't know the results yet, sir, but I felt a little disadvantaged.", I said it while looking him straight in the eye.

"You didn't say anything like that after you passed the first test.", he came even closer and I noticed his presence making me nervous. My heart beat increased, as I looked into his steel-grey eyes.
I didn't know what to say, but he was right.
I shouldn't have even gotten to the second one, so why did I complain?

Levi saw my uncertainty and still watched me.
He took another sip and turned around, intending to go. "Tch."

"I am a good soldier."
He turned back and raised an eyebrow.
"I may not have won, but they say nobody ever has. And if I could beat 'humanities strongest soldier', would he even deserve the title?"

He stood there, but his face didn't reveal anything, while only the flickering of the fire on the walls played games in his deep eyes. His expression was rather bored.
"Tch.", was his only response.

What an asshole. I got angry and my hands formed to fists. Who does he think he is with his 'great title', his 'rang' and all of the people around him, which respected him and had an immense fear of him?
Did he like it?
I'd never give it to him.

Outraged, I stomped away.
Then I decided otherwise and turned around to say something.

Angrily my look laid on Levi, who seemed kind of confused. I grasped at the sight.

I collected myself. "What?", I asked. Did I really just say 'What?'
I was the one who turned around. Was I completely braindead??

Commander Levi was leaning on the counter with an disinterested expression.
"You've actually passed both."

He took his cup and went away, leaving me perplex.
