8 months later
You had moved with your mom to a house in the area of wall Rose, like a lot of others did. That time you didn't even know what else had happened, who survived, who escaped and where your friends were.
"(Y/N)!)"
"Coming!", I shouted from my small room from the second floor. I was tired, but so was my mom. She looked wearily into my eyes, but tried to hide their red with a friendly smile.
"Look who's here."
As I stepped to the front of our door, I saw Jean, my best friend since I can remember.
"(Y/N)-"I interrupted him and flew into his arms within the blink of an eye.
"Hey, (Y/N), (your mother's name), how are you?"
But before he went on, he saw my mothers forced facial expressions and realised through the grip of my hands around his chest, that he should've waited with asking. In my room we talked about what had happened, about my dad and Jean's family, who had luckily survived the attack without any losses. 'That's crazy.', I thought.
'How was that even possible? There was so little place left and afterwards... weren't the soldiers even send to a big mission where only about 20% survived?'"What do you want to do now, (Y/N)?", he interrupted my thoughts and I was silent.
I furrowed my eyebrows."I will join the military."
I hadn't noticed, but my eyes started glowing and my voice trembled a little.Jean shortly looked over to me and shrugged unnoticeably before clearing his throat.
"I'll do that too."From that day, me and him were always together.
Although we had a different idea of the ending. But what did we even know back then?
Flashback
"Dad, please, look! Am I doing it right?""Sure, sweetie."
He bent over to my left shoulder and said "If I hit you now, will you fall?""Um, no?"
With a little taps on my right side, he still managed to bring me off-balance.
"Whyyy? I did everything the right way, I don't get it!""(Y/N), don't be upset. Everybody needs time to learn certain things and so do you.
Remember that fighting aren't just precisely learned movements.
Fighting acquires a feeling in your bones. You need to activate your fighting instincts, which you already have deep inside.", he said while pointing at my tummy with his big finger."Is this the reason why I have to do it again and again and again and again and again and- Hey!"
He put me on his shoulder and started circling both of us.
"Yes, darling, and let me tell you softly, you haven't even arrived at the first step of the training. You're still crawling.""Pff, yea, I know. I just want to be as good as you."
"(Y/N), you won't be as good as me, but better."
My eyes widened "How do you know?"
He put me down and suddenly tested my reaction with a rushing hand towards my face. I hit his sideways and immediately dodged."That's why."
Warmly he looked into my (E/C) eyes and released a surprised laughter as he saw my huge orbs and my open mouth."Cool." was the only sentence I could bring out of myself, because of my admiration towards his knowledge.
