...almost fall in front of them...
Levi glanced to you emotionlessly.
Hange happily pulled you toward herself.
"Heey, (Y/N). What's up?"You smiled friendly at both of them, while getting up.
"Hey, good and you?"
With a slight tilt of the head, you looked back and gave Ymir a small glare."Amazing! I just had time to think about a few things. For example, I found out, that not a single number from 1 to 999 has the letter 'a' in it.
Did you know that?
And if you plug your nose before eating, you won't be able to tell the difference between an apple, an onion and a potato.", Hange heatedly explained with hectic and visually describing gestures.
"Also...", she stopped.
"Aren't you hungry?"You peeked to Levi shortly, who sipped on his tea unbothered.
"Um, no. Levi already brought me
something-", you sheepishly responded.
"Thank you, by the way.", you said to him.He glanced over to you briefly and noticed you blushing.
"UUUUHHHH.", Hange smirked mischievously.
"I understand...", she energetically raised her eyebrows up and down.Your face reddened even more.
"I-it's not-, he just left it there, because I had only two apples yesterday-", you immediately regretted saying that, after noticing Hange's expression.Hange waggishly:
"OOOOHHH, Shorty, that's so considerate and thoughtful of you... Almost unimaginable!"Levi annoyed:
"Shut up, four eyes.""I see you, I see you...", she grinned and leaned her head on the palms of her hands with elbows placed on the table.
"You're so cute together though. And I have to mention, while you were gone, (Y/N) was almost only talking about y-""HANGE!", you stuffed her mouth with half a piece of bread.
In embarrassment, you frowned.
"That's not true. I-I only asked where you were one single time."Hange waggled with her eyebrows again and spoke through her full mouth.
"Yu ewen-""Pshhh!", with effort, you managed to make her stop jabbering.
Levi looked at both of you unimpressed, as he took another sip of tea.
Hange ate up fast and swallowed, glancing at one of you to the other with a giggle.
Thereafter you sighed, trying to get away from the subject.
"So, how was your day?", you tried to begin a conversation.
"OH! Great! I was luckily talked free from all these boring documents, leaving me enough time to concentrate on more important stuff, as already mentioned.", Hange explained.
You turned to Levi.
"And what about you?""No."
You, confused:
"Huh?"
What kind of answer is that?Levi monotonically:
"I hate small talk."You rolled your eyes.
"Obviously. You hate talking in general.""No."
You looked at him staggered.
"Then why don't you just tell us how your day was and we can continue with the talk into the direction you want? For example, with the things, which interest you.""Why should I?"
"Because...", you lingered.
"Well, that's how conversations work. You talk about yourself and listen to others.""Why should I talk about myself?", Levi asked expressionlessly.
You, explaining:
"W-well... I mean, that's how people get to know each other in general. Sharing thoughts, interests and feelings.""Stupid."
You glared at him.
"How is that stupid? I mean, you wouldn't even know me or Hange, if we didn't say anything about ourselves.""Tch."
"Tch.", you imitated him frustratedly.
"I don't even need words to know what you're thinking."Hange watched you intensely from the side, while having a certain suppressed smile on her face.
Levi sceptically glanced to her then.
Afterwards, she started recounting at once, just like a waterfall, which had held its water back the entire time.
"When you once fell asleep on Eren's shoulder and everyone started cheering on him to kiss you, Levi got so angry, that he walked up to me, saying: 'Four eyes, if Eren ought to kiss (Y/N)-'"
Levi's eyes widened momentarily. He suddenly dashed forward and pressed his hand to her mouth as well.
"Four eyes, shut up.", he growled.Hange only chuckled dully in response.
Out of nowhere, Petra came up to you.
"Hey guys.", she greeted.
Then she saw Levi stretching across the table to mute Hange.
In wonderment, she asked:
"Oh, what's going on?"Hange removed Levi's hand quickly.
"Levi and (Y/N) have a c-"You energetically pushed Hange off the seat, cutting her off in the middle of the sentence.
A heat wave overcame you and took over your prickling body at once."AU!", she yelped.
Petra watched the three of you in surprise.
"Um, Are you okay-?""Yes.", you and Levi responded instantaneously in synchrony.
"Oh, okay. Um... can I sit with you?", she abashedly asked.
"Sure."
She placed her things next to Levi, while Hange lifted herself up in the meantime.
She rubbed her head irritatedly, mumbling:
"Freaks..."Petra looked to you.
"Oh, (Y/N), aren't you hungry?"-
"... Anyway, and did you know, that sweat doesn't smell like anything?
I tested that on myself first, but I hate showering, so I used (Y/N) as a test subject-", Hange exemplified passionately. You, staggered:
"You what?""Don't worry, only in the nighttime."
You, shocked:
"In the what?!"Petra on the side listened in affright confusion.
Hange, continuing relaxedly:
"Thankfully she showers more often. But her scent is actually quite sweet, like a certain flowerlike blossom.
What do you think, Levi?"Levi disinterested:
"I don't care."Hange puzzled:
"I thought you should know, because one time I saw her sleeping in your-""HANGE!", you shouted embarrassed, cutting her off the second time.
Everyone turned to look at the four of you, as dreadful silence spread across the refectory.
Hange staggered:
"What? I just asked a question?"You whispered embarrassed:
"Please stop talking.""What? I can't just-"
"Idiot. Follow.", Levi stood up and took his cup.
You could've sworn, that your head was as red as a ripe tomato, when you left your seat with everyone's stares chasing you.
