It's All Just an Act PT 2

AN: I said I would do a pt 2 and I am really excited to do this because  I really enjoyed writing the first part so as promised here is part 2!

Lena's POV

We are on the road to the hotel. Jack told us that we would be there in about half an hour. 

We were all peacefully listening to music in silence when Cassie glances back at us and says "So you two love birds you have to tell us how you met?" 

Jack makes eye contact with me through the rear view mirror as he says "Yes please tell us everything. I haven't seen anything about it in the news" 

I grab Kara's hand and bring it closer to me as I say "Well Kara isn't used to all the attention so we thought we would keep it quiet from the public for the time being. And as for how we met. Kara came to interview me when I moved to national city three years ago." I glance at Kara as I stroke the back of her hand with my thumb, "It was love at first site for me. One bright smile and she had me wrapped around her finger. Though I still didn't act on my feelings for another two years and even then we had some help from Kara's sister." I finish chuckling softly and avoiding eye contact after the speech so she doesn't see the truth of my statement. 

Cassie smiles at us and says "You two are clearly head over heals for each other. Maybe your wedding will be next" while sending me a friendly wink. 

A blush takes over my cheeks and I stare at the floor trying not to be noticed but it isn't working well especially when Kara wraps an arm around my shoulders and pulls me into her side as she says "That's the hope." I can hear emotion in her voice but I can't place it but she continues in a quieter tone as she whispers  "Lena is a keeper..." to no one in particular. 

I feel like a tomato as I squeeze her hand a little tighter. 

Jack's POV (Only for a second)

They are faking it. 100000000% there is no way any one as amazing as Kara Danvers would ever fall in love with her. She is evil like her family and doomed to end up alone. 

If I have to spend all week uncovering their lies I will. 

(AN: If anyone has figured out how to bitch slap a fictional character please tell me I need to know) 

Everyone will know how pathetic Lena Luthor is mark my words.

Lena's POV

We reach the hotel finally. I am exhausted after that flight and I just want to fall asleep for 5 days and miss the wedding completely. 

Jack clearly doesn't believe Kara and I's relationship. He grilled us through the whole way. Kara handled it all with calm and ease. 

I was proud of her for it. 

Jack leads us to our room. Cassie had to leave to handle some things.

He opens the door to our small cottage and we walk in and set some of our bags down. The hotel workers were bringing the rest in a minute. 

Jack hands me the key and says "We are having a friendly dinner get together tonight with the people who arrived today. The larger group is arriving today so this is the smaller more intimate crowd. There will be drinks, food, and even a bit of couples competitions. Though no one will be beating Cassie and I in that."

Kara clearly is getting sick of them as she narrows her eyes at him and plasters on a fake smile and says "We will be there." before shutting the door in his face as I take a seat on the bed.
