IMPORTANT Hello all! So I love you guys and I love writing even more! That being said I AM NOT ENDING THIS BOOK I SWEAR

I am going through a very sudden family emergency so I probably won't update for at least a week or so I wanted to give you all a heads up about that.

Writing is a safe haven for me so that may not necessarily be the truth. Writing truly brings me peace and happiness especially when I feel the most chaotic (like right now) so I may have updates.

AN: about the story: I like AU's with kids and I want some happy fluff so that's what this chapter will be

THIS WILL BE A SHORT CHAPTER

Kara's POV

"Hey, Mom! Ruby and I are home from school!" I lift my head from the book I was reading to find my teenage daughter run into the room with her cousin close behind.

Astra runs up to me and places a kiss on my head before she says "What are we doing for dinner tonight?"

Her blonde hair matched perfectly to mine but her green eyes looked nothing like my blue eyes.

I set my book down after I mark the page and say "I was thinking we could get dinner. You have been cooking for us all week. How does some pizza sound?" Her eyes light up and she quickly nods before turning we turn to Ruby.

Ruby waves us off and says "One of Mama's old high school friends is in town for the week. We are supposed to have dinner all together and catch up. I should be getting over to our house. You know Mama Sam she will want the whole house scrubbed to a tee before the guest arrives."

Astra and I wave her off as she jogs out of our house and to her own next door.

Ruby's Mama, Sam, married my sister, Alex, a couple of years after Astra was born.

Ruby and Astra grew up together and have been inseparable since they met. They are honestly more like sisters than cousins at this point.

"Your Aunt is crazy," I say to Astra who laughs loudly. "Kiddo go do your homework and then grab a shower and then we will head out for pizza."

She nods and uses her superspeed to run upstairs.

I laugh at my daughter and pick my book back up to continue reading.

----------------------------------

"Astra! You ready?" I call up to the shorter blonde.

I blink and my daughter is in front of me adjusting her glasses.

I grab the keys and my purse before we walk out and up to the Bronco.

I unlock the car and we both hop in.

The pizza place we plan on going to is about a 20-minute drive away so Astra turns on some show tunes for us to sing along to.

I am focusing on the road as I hum along to Romantic Atmosphere from She Loves Me when my daughter taps my shoulder and says "Pullover mom..."
