Another Theater Chapter

AN: If you can't tell at this point I love theater more than almost anything besides reading and I just started working on another show so I got the idea for this it's gonna be a short chapter sorry it was my birthday on Friday 

AN side note you can ignore: I am a bit bummed, not a lot of people remembered my birthday that probably should have cause we are close and I remember theirs but I still had a fantastic celebration it just sucks a bit

Lena's POV

I walk into rehearsal and I am exhausted from my day at work but I am so excited to start the new show. 

I am the first one here beside our director Emily. I smile and give her a hug. We had worked together many times over the years and she was a good friend who gave me a couch to sleep on after I broke up with my ex. 

We are doing Addams Family and I am playing Morticia for the show so thankfully my songs aren't too complicated. 

I grab a chair and start setting up chairs for other people who are soon to arrive for the first rehearsal. 

I hear the door open so once I set down the chair in my hand I turn to introduce myself but I freeze when I see the most beautiful women I have ever seen in my entire life setting down her stuff down in a chair next to mine. 

Emily smiles at me in a knowing way when she sees the look in my eye and says "Lena this is Kara she is playing Alice for us." 

I step forward and offer my hand as I say "Nice to meet you. I am Lena and I am playing Moritica" 

"Nice to meet you, how long have you been acting?" she asks as other actors and crew file into the room and take their seats. 

"My entire life except for a gap in and after college. My mother made me burnt out so I quit for a while but got back into it about 5 years ago. How about you?" 

"Congrats on coming back to it. I was orphaned and then adopted at 13 and my parents both acted and loved musical theater so I loved it then and just always kept with it."

"I am adopted as well I know that feeling. Part of the reason I wanted this role so bad was my mom and I used to watch Addams family cartoons when I was little." 

"That's incredible that you are honoring her in that way. "

"Alright 'Secrets' is a bit of a mother fucker of a song but it is a beautiful expression of the comparison to societal norms and expectations that won't equate to happiness. Kara, you are secretly jealous of what Moritica and Gomez seem to have regardless of how weird the family is to your character. You should be happier and you thought secrets would get you there but it has mostly just ruined your family. Morticia, you are just bragging that your relationship is happy and trying to put some sense into Alice that her relationship is not healthy. You guys have incredible chemistry so just trust your instincts. You guys killed it so why don't you head out a bit early we are just gonna run the ancestor's choreo"

"Easy enough" I say smiling at Kara. 

We are 2 weeks away and this is our last specific rehearsal of this song but Kara and I are both feeling great about the song. 

"Want to come over and have a movie night?" Kara offers

"For sure" We grab all of our stuff and head over to her apartment for movies. 

We walk into the apartment and Kara had a lot of bags from her day job she gave me the keys to her apartment so I lead the way and opened the door and find a redhead sitting at Kara's island that scares the crap out of me when she literally pulls a gun on me until Kara walks in and drops all of her stuff before stepping in between us as she says "ALEX! THIS IS LENA!" 

My eyes widen and I realize this is her scary badass cop sister that I am about to meet. 

Alex puts the gun away like it's nothing and pulls me into a hug as she says "Ah! It's nice to meet my future sister-in-law!"
