AN: I am sorry that's all I am going to say 

Lena's POV

"Luthor! Room 27." Chief Grant says as she walks passed me.

I nod and follow her as my intern's trail behind me like ducklings following their mother.

We walk into the patient's room as I look down at the chart one of my interns handed me.

"Who would like to present?" Chief asks my interns. 

All of my interns and my fellow, Sam, who is on my service raise their hands and I see the chief gives me a nod to chose. I turn and see my interns and just point at a random one.

I am still looking at the chart and the patient's test results as the intern says "28-year-old Kara Danvers, she is in for a coronary revascularization. She has had 7 heart surgery's to help her live long enough to get a heart transplant. This procedure will hopefully help her heart be healthy enough till we can find her a heart donor that is a match."

I finally look up to see a gorgeous girl with broad shoulders and a warm smile looking back at me.

She pushes her blonde hair out of her face as she says "Yep. And I am going to get that heart real soon right chief?" while shifting her gaze from me to my boss.

Cat smiles at the patient in a way I have never seen her give anyone as she says "Of course, Miss. Danvers. We will do everything in our power to make sure you are healthy enough to be out exploring and taking photos in no time."

"Please call me Kara. I have had four of my 7 surgeries here and it feels like fam-" 

As she was about to finish her sentence a nurse walks in and says "Sorry to interrupt chief, I heard you are back Kara. You miss us nurse's that much?"

"You know it, Marge. Come back later so we can gossip but I have to deal with big cheese right now." The blue eyed women says while pointing her thumb at the chief.

"Will do. All the nurses are cheering you on." Marge says before walking out. 

I see our patient give her a warm smile and a small wave as the nurse leaves.

Once she is out of the room Kara turns her attention back to us and says "My point exactly. I have been here so much almost everyone knows me and I trust you guys. You haven't lead me wrong so far so if you say this is what I need, then this is what I need. Now the only question is where is Doctor Yang?" 

We are all silent and Kara raises an eyebrow at all of us waiting for an answer.

When no one responds I step forward and say "Dr. Yang switched hospitals because she got offered Chief of surgery at another hospital and couldn't turn down the offer." 

"Okay... Is there any way she can come back for the surgery" Kara questions with nerves creeping into her voice. 

The chief steps in at this point and says "I am sorry but there isn't she is in Sweden and you need to have the surgery sooner then she will be able to get back. This is Dr. Lena Luthor she is the new chief of cardio and will be the person performing the surgery. She may seem young to the eye but she is one of our most talented surgeons we have" 

Kara looks me up and down before saying "I am okay with that but I want to get to know you before she cracks my chest open."

Before I can protest that I have a lot of work to do Chief steps in and says "Of course. Dr. Luthor will do her paperwork in here today and will only be paged if it is an absolute emergency. Right?" My interns and fellow nod and walk out. The Chief smiles at both of us before walking out.
