Finals

AN: I told you I wanted to post chapters about basketball and here we go! Supergirl/Kara doesn't know Lena in this story. 

3rd person POV

"Welcome back to the Final Four hosted in National City, CA," the commentator says into a microphone "I am Dianna Taurasi and I am joined by my former teammate Sue Bird and we will be with you for this match-up of Iowa Hawkeyes lead by Caitlyn Clarke versus the undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks lead by Aliyah Boston" (seriously look up highlight reels for either and it will blow your mind) 

A roar stops the pair of commentators and they look over to where people are pointing and taking photos. They------------ both lose their shit cheering when they see none other than Supergirl walking into the building and taking a seat courtside after talking with some fans and people. 

"People watching at home I don't know if you will believe it if you don't see it in person but none other than the girl of steel just walked into the building to watch this match of titans." 

After some looking around and waving the hero spots the two commentators and walks over to them and shakes their hands as she says "I am a big fan of both of you guys! I watched you guys at UCONN and through your WNBA careers. Huge fans! Also, Sue congrats on your engagement to Meghan! I am a big fan of hers as well!" 

Sue starts freaking out internally and can't pass up the opportunity to make her wife's year by saying "My fiance is a big fan of yours. You are more than welcome to come to our wedding! I think you might kill my fiance with excitement but she would kill me if I didn't ask." 

"I would be honored!" Supergirl says as a person offers a mic so she can be heard. 

"Well now that we got you here. Who are you rooting for?" Diana asks freaking out just as much. 

"I am not rooting for a particular team in this match-up. I am a big fan of both but I root for Stanford in general but they unfortunately lost. So I am here more to just support women's sports." 

"Thank you so much for your support of the game. We won't take any more of your time. I think some people want to say hi to you before the game" 

They nod behind the hero and she turns to see both of the teams lined up including the coaches to say hi to her. "I will talk to you both soon" 

Supergirl turns around and starts down the line saying hi and greeting each player and coach with the same kindness and care but with the time constraint she promises to talk to them all after the game and returns to her seat. 

And then there is another roar that confuses the hero (thankfully Alex gave her sound-dampening headphones so she wouldn't go deaf). 

She focuses in on Sue and Diana's voices and hears them say "After the appearance of Supergirl we have another legend entering the building! Please welcome Lenaaaa LUTHHHORRR!" 

Supergirl glances over and sees Lena in a maroon dress with yellow shoes waving at the crowds and the players also swarmed her and she gave the same speel that Supergirl gave with just as much grace as Supergirl did just while looking way more beautiful while doing so. 

Lena heads over to her seat which seems to be right next to Supergirl herself who stands to greet the icon she hadn't met yet but had been desperate to. 

"Mrs. Luthor it's an honor to meet you," Supergirl says as she offers her hand to the CEO.

"Supergirl the honor is all mine. I can't believe our luck that we are sat next to each other." 

Supergirl laughs from her belly and says "It really is lucky. I have been wanting to meet you forever. You are one of my heroes." 

"You are kidding me right?" She says laughing out loud until she realizes Supergirl was dead serious. "I am your hero?" 

"Yeah. I mean you are a badass who got away from your family and created a name for yourself. Nothing more badass and heroic than that." 

"How about what you do?" Lena says still shocked. 

"I mean that too but that doesn't take away from all that you have done," Supergirl says with a giggle as they sit down next to each other. "I love your dress, does the maroon mean you are rooting for South Carolina?"

"I am wearing yellow shoes to be neutral in my support." Lena says in her best diplomatic voice "Though you can't deny how badass Caitlyn Clarke's shooting ability is." 

"I can't disagree with you there." The pair is distracted by both teams waving for their attention. They look up and spot players had tapped their wrists and written an L on one side and the Supergirl S on the other. 

Throughout the first have they paid attention to any good play on either side and talked and made jokes the entire time at both each other's expenses and everything/everyone wasn't safe.

Halftime hit and supergirl used her super speed to get them some popcorn and other food. They finish their food and before long a on the floor commentator asks if they would mind doing an interview. 

They both agreed and the camera came over and the reporter counted them down before saying "Thanks lady's" referring to the anchors who sent it over to her "I have had many moments in my career where I have been grateful for the opportunities it has presented me but this opportunity is maybe the coolest of them all. I am joined by Supergirl and Lena Luthor. Ladies, what have you thought of the first half of basketball?"

"I knew this was going to be one of the best games of the year but this has been next level. I can't wait I am shaking with anticipation!" Lena says 

Supergirl nods her agreement before the report adds "This seems to be the first public appearance start of the friendship of the century, have you guys met before?" 

Supergirl speaks this time "Unfortunately this is the first time we have met but it is definitely the start of a good friendship!" Supergirl couldn't admit that she had the biggest crush on the CEO since she saw her in the news, especially in this half of her alter ego. 

"Agreed!" Lena said with just as much enthusiasm. 

"Well thank you so much, ladies. Enjoy the rest of the game." 

The two waved to the camera and once the camera was out the reporter shakes our hands and wishes us the best before walking away to interview some of the players.
