Evelyn's POV
"I'm good?" I ask.
"Yeah you're clear. You're ready to get back on that field." Paul says hitting the table and I nod.
"Great! Thanks." I say hopping off the table and run out to the field. "I'm free!"
"Kid watch out!" Sinc yells, but I hit something and land on my butt.
"Ouch." I rub my head as I get back up. "Fuck."
"Back inside Evelyn." Abby says and I groan.
I slouch as I walk back inside and I'm met with Paul. I smile and wave.
"Heeey Paul."
"Seriously? I just cleared you and you already hit yourself." He says and I shrug.
"Whoops?"
"Sit down." He says and I groan.
I sit back down and pull out my phone, I dial Alex and grin.
"What's u- hey woah. What the hell happened?" She asks.
"Doesn't matter, can you please put Charlie on the phone?"
"You used to love me before Charlie came along." Alex says and I laugh.
"Things change, Charlie is my goddaughter." I say and she puts the phone in front of Charlie.
"There you go." Alex says and I smile.
"Charlie! Look I got another boo boo!"
"Boo boo." Charlie says and I nod.
"You know, you just gave me a great idea." I say and she giggles.
"I hope my daughter didn't just give my best friends daughter a bad idea." Alex says and I chuckle.
"No, not at all." I say softly. "Not at all."
"Okay Evelyn, you're fine. Go out now. If I had a dollar for every time you knocked yourself I'd be a millionaire."
"Ha. Ha. Very funny." I say hopping off the table.
"Doggy." Charlie says.
"They're back in Portland Charlie. Home." I say walking out of the locker room.
"M-Mal?"
"She's in Chicago." I say and she frowns.
"Hey hey it's aunt Abby." Abby says taking my phone away from me.
"Hey what the heck aunt Abby!"
"Go warm up kid we have a game." Abby says and I huff.
"Aunt Glennon your wife won't give me my phone!"
"I can't hear you honey." She yells pointing to her ears.
"Ev! Come on!" Morgan yells.
"Alright last game before the next camp." I say clapping my hands.
"I buy food tonight if you get a hat trick." Morgan says and I smirk.
"You want me to score a hat trick on Vlatko's team?You're on." I say.
"Hi Ev!" Abby and Glennon's daughter yells.
"Hey hey you ready for us to kick butt?" I ask and she grins.
"Yeah! You gonna score today?" Tish asks.
"I'll score at least three."
"Awesome! Look I have your jersey." She says turning around.
