Chapter 74

Tobin's POV

"What do you think we should do now that we're done with the olympic qualifying? We have a couple days or maybe even two weeks off" I tell Chris who's carrying a sleeping Julieta

"You need to spend more time with the girls well we both do, but sometimes I feel like we don't give them enough attention, I mean look at Julieta she's four and she needs attention, I haven't been able to give her that! She needs a mother I don't want her to rely on her sisters when she has me and you"

"Okay okay relax, we'll go to our apartment in Portland spend a week there and maybe go on a walk or something, the stress is getting to you, with all that's been happening you're still trying to adjust to the mom life babe, it's okay, you're a wonderful mother just breathe"

"What would I do without you?" She says and I smile

"Don't know" I say and she gives me a soft kiss

"Mom! Can I go with Daisy, Sam and Abby to grab some food before we leave?" Evelyn yells

"Actually I was thinking if I can take you and Daisy out to eat" I say and she looks at me

"Just us three? No mom?" She asks

"Just us three" I say

"Um yeah that actually sounds cool, let me go tell Sam and Abby"

I turned around to see Chris who was laying in bed with Julieta, Chris was running her hands through Julieta's hair. A legitimately beautiful sight.

Is it weird that I haven't called them my daughters? That I haven't said 'Chris our daughters'. Probably something to talk about when we go out to lunch.

"What are you thinking about Tobin?" Chris asks me and I shake my head

"Nothing, really nothing. Are you sure you'll be okay by yourself?"

"JJ, Crystal, Becky and Alyssa are coming while you and the girls go eat don't worry I'll be fine" she says and I nod

"Okay, I love you" I say and bend down to give her a kiss "And I love you" I whisper and kiss Julieta's head

Evelyn's POV

"Your food ma'am" The waiter says

I'm not old, but okay.

"Thank you" I say and he nods

"So tell me, how are you guys?" Tobin asks and I look at Daisy

"Umm good?" I say but sounds like a question

"Are you sure?" Tobin asks and I take a sip of my lemonade

"Yes, I'm happy. Mal is something alright and she's definitely been a big reason for that" I say and she nods

"Daisy?" Tobin asks

"Yeah Daisy how are you?" I ask with a mischievous smirk

"I'm good thank you for asking" Daisy says and I laugh

"Why's that?" I ask

"I hate you" she mumbles and I smile

"Sorry I can't hear you" I say and she hits my leg

"Vanessa called the other day and well yeah" she says and I laugh

"Yeah she did" I whisper and laugh

"Shut it" she mumbles and I shrug

"Well I'm glad you both are doing good, it makes me happy knowing you guys are doing good" Tobin says and I nod
