Evelyn's POV

"Are you sure about this?"

"I'm sure Nessa now stop babying me you're supposed to be my supportive friend" I say

"Alright but if and when you see all your teammates again and they ask who was with you during this process don't out me because one Christen will kill me and two CHRISTEN WILL KILL ME!" Nessa yells and I laugh

"Yeah yeah" I say as we walk in

"Christen is going to kill you and her" Daisy whispers

"Yeah but Ash won't" I say and she laughs

"Hey E nice to see you"

"Hey Marcus" I say as I sit on the chair

"You ready?" He asks and I nod "So you want five?"

"Yes" I say and he nods

"Alright let's get started"

"That looks like it hurts" Nessa says

"Stop complaining you wuss you're not the one getting it" I say as Nessa looks away and holds my hand

"Vanessa I think you're doing worse than Evelyn and you're the one watching" Daisy whispers

"She's not wrong" I say

"They're gonna look so cool" Marcus says and I chuckle

"Hey Ev, Mal is calling should I answer?" Daisy asks me and my eyes widen

"I'll answer" Nessa says and suddenly I wish I could pull my arm and lunge towards her to stop it from happening

"NO NO NO DON'T ANSW-"

"Hi b-"

"Hello this is Vanessa you must be Mal"

"Daisy grab my phone and hang up!" I whisper yell and she nods as she snatched my phone from Nessa as she hangs up. Dang Mal is not going to be happy about that.

"Hey! Why'd you hang up! I wanted to meet Ev's friend" Nessa whined

Oh right we've kept our relationship on the down low I mean the team knows that's about it, I mean I'm seventeen she's twenty not the best thing to put out there. Plus I turn eighteen in four months.

"Um Evelyn Mal keeps sending you a lot of messages like a lot" Daisy says and I gulp

"Can you hand me my phone please" I ask and she nods. I opened my phone to see some very VERY angry Mal text messages and a cute little angry selfie. My monkey.

"Why is she so mad?"

"Well Mal is just well Mal" I say

Mal's POV

"SHE HUNG UP!" I yell

"Calm down Mal I'm sure there's a perfect reason as to why she did"

"VANESSA WAS THE ONE WHO ANSWERED!"

"Oh you mean Nessa the ex?"

"Yes Lindsey that one!"

"She's really nice Mal don't worry" Lindsey says over the phone

"Hey Lindsey where's the blueber- oh hey Mal"

"Hi Tobin" I say waving

"What are you doing?" She asks me

"Oh nothing just talking to Lindsey here" I say

"She's lying Tobs she's mad because she called Ev and Vanessa answered but then someone else grabbed the phone and hung up"
