Evelyn's POV

"So don't worry you're not in any trouble" Christen says and I nod

"But we all want to talk to you" Ali says

"A-about what?" I ask

"As you know you're seventeen and your sister is four and well the lawyers called they said both of you would have to go into the system"

"That doesn't make sense" I say as I furrow my eyebrows

"I know which is why well I talked to the girls and well a couple months ago I had sent in papers, long story short I'm adopting you and your sister"

"I-I'm sorry you said YOU are adopting my sister and I?" I ask

"Yes"

"But don't you have to have two people?"

"You don't actually don't worry I've been looking at these type of things for a while now"

"Why? I mean I'm grateful but why?"

"Well before Tobin and I started dating I was thinking of adopting so I sent in papers and all that stuff but now I see it was a great idea and me sending those papers was meant for this time"

"Thank you" I say as I stand up and hug Christen

"I love you" she says and I silently cry

"Thank you thank you thank you"

"But we also have other things to talk about" I hear Ali say

"Okay"

"More of your sister and you so the future you know" Ash says and I nod

"Do you plan on going to college?" Tobin asks me

"I mean I would love to go to college" I say

"Did you get any college offers?"

"Yes some but I turned them down" I admit as I shrink in my seat

"Why?" Ash asks

"I don't necessarily have enough money" I mumble

"What was that?"

"I don't have enough money"

"But wouldn't it be a full ride?"

"Well yeah but depending where I go I need money for food a car I don't know other things like if I meet friends and want to go out" I say as I play with my hands

"Baba they're not mad" I hear Mal say as she rubs circles on my back

"So technically you can't go to college because the offers are off the table and it's too late to apply to others and too late to accept?" Alex asks me and I nod

"What about any clubs?"

"Going pro?" I ask and they all nod "I don't know I mean I'd love to go pro I just don't think it's my time I'd love to grow in college in soccer and you know learn in classes but also mature"

"You're mature enough definitely more mature than Kelley" Alex says and I giggle

"Hey that's rude!" Kelley yells

"You're literally playing with a baby toy" Allie says and I laugh as we all see Kelley actually playing with a baby toy

"Anyway well how about we call some of the colleges that offered you a spot and go from there?" Ash asks me

"No"

"No?"

"I want to spend time with my sister I've missed four years of her life I don't want to miss more" I say as I look over to Julieta who's playing with Channing

"Okay how about you move in with me? Because also that's something else we need to talk about I want your sister to live with me so why don't you move with me to Utah" Christen says as she turns to face me

"Leave my home?"

"Well yes I want you to be closer to me and you want to spend time with your sister"

"That's too much I can't handle it"

"You could go to a community college close to where I live where we'd live"

"But don't you live with Rachel?"

"Don't worry"

"I-I uh I don't know" I say as I get up from the chair and walk over to Channing and my sister

"Sissy!"

"Hi Julie"

Christen's POV

"Breathe for a minute Chris let her think"

"What if she doesn't want to live with me? Then what do I do? I don't want to separate her from her sister Alex!"

"You won't but just give her some time and space it's been two weeks since everything happened"

"I know but it worries me Alex what do I do!" I say

"I'll go grab Tobin" Alex says and I nod as I sit on the edge of the bed

"Chris?"

"Sit" I say as I pat the bed so she can sit right next to me "What if I move?"

"Move? Move where?" Tobin asks

"To Washington"

"Chris I don't think that's a smart id-"

"I want her to be close to me and her sister I don't want to tear them apart I can ask for a trade and try to get traded to Reign"

"No" I hear someone say behind us which makes Tobin and I turn around "Don't do something so absurd"

"It's not absurd if it means I'll be close to you and you'll be close to your sister and well me"

"No it's fine really hear me out" Evelyn says and I nod "I'll move with you to Utah and I'll do what you said I'll go to a community college"

"Are you sure pumpkin?" I ask and she sighs as she walks to me

"I am I want to be near my sister and well you.. mom" she says and I smile as I embrace her in a hug

"Then we should go tell your sister about it and also explain to her that I am her mom after all" I say

"Okay"

Evelyn's POV

"MOMMY! MOMMY!" I hear Julieta yell which makes me jump out from the bed.

I quickly ran to her room as I see her curled up in a little ball with Christen right by her side.

"What's wrong baby?" Chris asks Julieta

"Scary"

"Did you have a bad dream?" I ask and she nods

"Can I sleep with mommy?" Julieta asks and my eyes widen

"I don't think that's a good idea but you can sleep wi-"

"No no you can come sleep with me" Chris says and I raise my eyebrow

"But what about To-"

"It's fine don't worry" She says and I nod

"Goodnight Julie" I kiss her forehead as she wraps her tiny arms around me

"Night night"

"Goodnight mom"

"Goodnight pumpkin"

This is definitely a turn in my life. What a day. Wait I just called Christen my mom, when she's going to be my mom. What a day I tell you!
