Chapter 22

Mal's POV

"Chris is going to kill me isn't she?" I ask Ev as she brushes her teeth

"You'll be fine plus no one has to know" Ev says and I walk up to her

"She's going to kill me"

"No she won't" Ev says as she rinses her mouth "Sparkly white"

"Ev listen to what I'm saying CHRISTEN IS GOING TO KILL ME!"

"She will kill you if you keep screaming that loud and saying she'll kill you"

"But can we also talk about how you're seventeen I'm twenty"

"Okay and?"

"Kind of sort of illegal" I say

"We're not together" she says grabbing a new shirt "You haven't asked me out so technically I'm still on the market"

"Ha no you're funny" I say walking behind her

"Well I mean I could go call the waitress from yesterday she was really cute not going to lie" Ev says and I frown "I'll call her right now"

"No!" I yell as I snatch her phone from her "Be my girlfriend?"

"Let me go out on a date with the waitress and I'll see how that goes then I'll give you my answer" She says looking at me "Hey no no don't cry I was only kidding of course I'll be your girlfriend"

"Good I wouldn't want to murder someone" I mumble against her chest and she laughs

"Oh Mal you can't murder someone you're not strong enough" She says and I pout

"Yeah but sooner or later we'll know that I'm the top" I whisper and I see her turn red "Look who's blushing"

"You're mean" she pouts at me and I peck her lips

"Better?" I ask and she shakes her head so I kiss her again "Now?"

"No" she says so I push her onto the bed as I straddle her waist and kiss her passionately

"Now?" I ask and she grins

"Yes" she says

"Also I'm the top"

"We don't know that" she says and I chuckle

"Sooner or later we will!" I yell as I walk to the bathroom. I definitely think I'm the top. Right? Right?

Evelyn's POV

"Hey kiddo" Tobin says as I sit down next to her

"Hi Toby" I say

"What'd you do last night?" She asks me

"Played my guitar then watched a movie with Mal" I say

"Oh really? What movie?"

"Uhhh I can't remember I think it was mmm yeah I can't remember" I say

"Hey Mal what movie did you guys watch last night?" Tobin asks Mal

"Oh we watched Cars" Mal says and I sink down in my seat

"Cars?" Kelley asks and I nod

"It's my favorite movie" I mumble

"What's that?" Kelley says and I groan

"I said it's my favorite movie" I say and Pinoe laughs so I put my hoodie on

"Pinoe! Don't laugh at her!" Tobin says and I get up from the table and walk back to the room

"Damn it Pinoe! Now you've done it!" I hear Carli yell

"Hi baby good mor- hey what's wrong" Chris asks and I shake my head

"Nothin I'm going back to my room I'll be down once it's time to go back to practice" I say and she stops me

"Tell me what's wrong come on I'm here to help you"

"Ev'! Ev!" I hear Mal yell and I turn around to hug her "Hey it's okay she didn't mean it in a mean way come on let's go back to the room and watch cartoons?" I nod

"Mal what happened?" Christen asks Mal

"Uhh well Tobin asked me what movie Ev and I had watched last night I said cars so Kelley asked cars and Ev said it's her favorite movie but Pinoe laughed" Mal says

"Oh she's gonna get it!" Chris yells and I flinch "Go take her to your room I'll be up in a bit"

"Okay" Mal says and Christen walks off "Hey it's okay don't cry"

"I don't fit in" I mumble

"Ev she didn't mean it in a bad way it's Pinoe for crying out loud" Mal says and I look up to her "Come on let's go to the room"

Christen's POV

"PINOE!" I yell

"Uh oh mama bear mode is on" I hear Sonnett say

"Pinoe! What the hell! You made her cry!" I yell as I glare at her

"Chris I didn't mean it! I promise it just came out wrong"

"You laughed! She's already dealing with enough she's seventeen! And you're here making her cry!"

"I'll apologize I swear! I don't want her to feel like I was making fun of her" Pinoe says

"Well you better apologize! Or I swear Pinoe I will call Sue!" I yell

"Ooo she got you there Pinoe" Kelley says snickering

"Now I'm going to go back and check on her but if by the end of the day you haven't apologized to her I will call Sue" I say as I turn around and walk off

"Hey Christen wait up!" I hear someone say and I turn around to see Tobin "Hey calm down take deep breaths you don't want to go into her room fuming"

"I guess you're right" I say as I take deep breaths "Thanks"

"Anytime also you mind if I come with?" She asks

"Not at all come on" I say and she nods

As we got to the room I grabbed the room key that I have and we walked in.

"Baby?" I ask

"Shh she's sleeping" Mal says and I look to see Evelyn sleeping on top of Mal's chest, hiccups were heard in the room.

"My poor baby" I whisper as I sit next to Mal and run my fingers through her hair "I'm going down to get some breakfast will you be fine?"

"Y-yes why wouldn't I be" Mal stuttered out which makes me furrow my eyebrows "I'll be fine we'll go downstairs once it's time to go"

"Okay call me if you guys need anything or something happens" I say

"Or you can call me too" Tobin says

"Yeah I got it now go" Mal says

"Yeah okay we're going" I say as I pull Tobin's arm

"Bye Mal!" Tobin whisper yells

"That was weird" I say as we walk downstairs

"What was?" Tobin asks

"Mal seemed off she looked really nervous"

"You don't think she?"

"I don't know I mean come on Mal telling my baby her feelings? I don't think so" I say

"Then you have nothing to worry about Chris"

"You're right plus Ev would tell me right?"

"Uhh yes?" Tobin says

"She'd tell me she'd definitely tell me" I mumble as we reach the girls

My baby would tell me if something happened between the two of them right? Yes yes she would. Nothing to worry about. I hope.
