Chapter 6

Evelyn's POV

"Hey you ready for today?" Mal asks me as we get ready for practice, I nod. "Why don't you talk to me?" I shrug "talk to me please you're my roommate"

"No" I say

"You talked!" She says with excitement and I chuckle "can I hug you?" I shrug "that's a yes" Mal runs to me making me fall on the bed

"You kneed my stomach" I say and groan in pain

"Shit sorry let me see your stomach" she says and I furrow my eyebrows "lift your shirt up is what I'm saying"

"Oh" I lift my shirt and she pokes my stomach

"Does that hurt?" I shake my head "you should be fine come on" she pulled me up from the bed and we walked to the bus

"You made it!" Christen yells and I smile then i walk over to where she is sitting and I sit next to her "how'd you sleep?"

"Good" I say and she smiles at me

The entire ride I had my head on Christen's shoulder with music flowing through my ears. We finally arrived and we all got to the field.

"Alright girls beep test today" Dawn says

"Yes!" Kelley yells as the rest groan but I smile inside. Don't hate me but I like the beep test

"Everyone get ready we're going to start soon" Dawn says and we all nod

"Are you ready for this rookie?" Pinoe asks me and I nod

"Alright and go" Dawn yells so we all start

"One"

After a while some girls are out and I'm still going

"Fifty"

Tobin's POV

"Sixty-five"

"Jesus how is she still going!" Ali asks me and I shrug

"Okay I'm out I'm tired" Kelley says and we all clap for her but we all watch Evelyn as she is still going

"Are you on steroids!" Ash yells

"No I promise I'm not!" She yells from the line

After a while she still kept going

"Eighth-seven"

"Okay what the hell" Rose says

"Mal your girl has some stamina imagine what she can do in bed" Kelley whispers to Mal

"Shut up and she's not my girl" Mal says

"She's not your girl YET" Pinoe says

"Alright Evelyn you can stop now" Dawn says and you can hear worry in her voice and we all kind of laugh

"Really? I have to stop?" Evelyn asks

"Yes really I don't understand how you're not dying now take your shirt off I don't want you fainting" Dawn says

"Woah never thought I'd live to hear Dawn tell a player to take off their shirt during practice" I say and everyone laughs

"I've done this a lot so I work myself up and trust me I'm dying just not too much" Evelyn says and takes her shirt off that's soaking wet

Mal's POV

Evelyn took her shirt off and turned around to face us and I think my breath hitched

"Holy christ!" Kelley yells

"Evelyn were you created by god himself" Ash asks and Evelyn furrows her eyebrows
