Chapter 49

Mal's POV

"Is everything ready?" I ask the girls as we're all in a conference room.

"Where are the gowns!" Alex yells

"Julie has them!" Crystal yells

"Okay so we might no be ready yet" I mumble

If you're wondering what's going on. Well let me explain, a couple weeks ago when we found out Evelyn was going to the World Cup well we knew she was going to miss an important accomplishment. We also knew Daisy would come along.

"Sam you're tall you can reach!" Abby yells as they try hanging the sign up

"I'm trying!" Sam yells

"Who's speaking again?" Ash asks

"Becky and Ali" I say

"Right okay we're almost done"

Today is June 3, 2019 and today my baba and Daisy would've been at their graduation. Clearly they're not in Washington they're in New Jersey all the way across the country.

Right we also played against Mexico's couple days ago and turns out Ev has a family member on the team. Crazy right. Her name is Jocelyn Orejel. Kind of reminded me of Christen it was weird maybe I was just out of it. Anyways shit went down unfortunately. So Ev has been in a gloomy mood, hasn't gone out of her room since and has only interacted with Daisy and baby J.

"Mal come on you have to help"

"I'm going T" I say as I grab chairs and place them in rows.

"Baby stop running around, Tobin can you grab Julieta please" Christen tells Tobin

"I'M FWEE!" She yells

"I'm glad Jill accepted this plan" AD says

"She was the one who came up with it, she didn't want her to feel left out" I say

Okay so I lied we didn't come up with this. Jill and Dawn did they called us all and said that the day her class was graduating their would be a live stream for us and they'd announce her name along with Daisy.

"Lindsey stop sitting and help out the girls" Dawn says and I laugh

"I'm going" Lindsey says

"Do you want to run extra laps?" Dawn asks Lindsey making her eyes widen

"I'm going I'm going!"

"Girls the ceremony starts in half an hour!" Jill yells

"Crap! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" Ash yells and we all hustle

"Where will I be?"

"Just make sure they don't see you until they get down here" I say and she nods

"Wilma got stuck the other day in between the couches a-"

"Rose stop talking about Wilma and help me with the chairs" I say

"So rude" she says but helps me with the chairs

After hours of preparation we finished.

"Alright who's going to go get her?" I ask

"I will" Kyle says and we all look at him "What she's my niece and she loves uncle Kyle"

"She's seventeen almost eighteen Kyle you act like she's a child" Ash says

"She is a child now let me go get her" he says and leaves

"I'm excited to see them"

"I know you are" I say as I pat her back

Evelyn's POV

"I don't understand uncle Kyle why was I not notified about this meeting?" I ask as we walk down to the conference room "Also why is Daisy coming? Not that I don't love you Daisy"

"Don't know kiddo but come on" he says and we finally get to the conference room. He opened the door and to my surprise well.

"Surprise!" Everyone yells

"Geez I almost fell on the ground!" I yell as i clutch my shirt

"What's this?" Daisy asks and we enter

"We know the both of you are missing something very important today and we didn't want you to feel left out" Julie says and they bring out our caps and gowns

"What?" I ask as they put Daisy and I our gowns and hand us a cap

"They're going to stream your graduation so you won't miss it but instead of the lame boring old dude that's going to speak two important people will speak" Alex says and I smile

"Thank you guys" I say

"There's one more thing baba" Mal says and I nod. She motions to someone and I look at her confused but then see who it is.

"NESSA!" I yell

"Vanessa!" Daisy yells and we both run to her

"I missed you" I mumble

"I missed you both" she says and I hug her tight

"Alright let's get this ceremony started! It starts in five minutes so go to the back for when pomp and circumstance starts" Lyssa says and I nod

"They're the best" Daisy says as she holds my hand

"They are aren't they" I say and she smiles

"Yes" she says

"I'm glad you're feeling better" I whisper as I kiss her head

We walked to the back as we waited for the music to start. These are the people who love me despite my scars that may be physically, mentally or emotionally. I wouldn't want any other people as my family.

"Sissy!" J yells as she runs to me

"Hi Julie" I say as I ruffle her hair

"Me walk with you!"

"You want to walk with us?" I ask and she nods her head "Okay then you can walk with us. You'll walk with me, and Daisy and Nessa will walk together yeah?"

"Yeah!" She yells and she hugs my feet

"J needs a cap and gown!" I yell

"My baby is graduating?" Christen says as she bends down to J

"I am mommy! I'm sissy!"

"Okay then here" Chris says and she pulls out a small gown from where? Who knows. The cap is rather big but J loves it. She's happy.

"Alright J you ready?"

"Ready sissy!"

"I'm proud of you, you know that right?" Chris asks me as she cups my face

"I know mom" I say and she pecks my forehead and walks over to Tobin

"Alright girls it's about to start so get in line" Jill says and the four of us do as told.

"When did she grow up? She was just the shy little baby" I hear Ash say

"You're the baby you're crying" I say and the girls laugh

"Alright it's starting"
