In all honesty, Bang Sihyuk felt that he had failed as a father. He might not be Hoseok's real father, but he was his adopted one, and he loved the boy like he was his own. He knew him so well, and while he had wanted and tried his best to distance himself at work since Hoseok didn't want anybody to know that they were family, he still felt as if he had failed the younger man.

At first, when he had gotten to them, he had been very bad, there had been not even a tiny hint of the sunshine he really was, but with time, he had gotten better. Hoseok had always refused professional help when he had first gotten there, and nobody had the heart to force him to do it, not after the first breakdown he had when they tried.

He had been better at first when Sihyuk had introduced him to the boys that were to be his group, the young alpha had always found solace in dancing, it was his life fuel, and when they had found out he could rap, that was when they decided he should at least audition for the new unit Sihyuk was working on.

After the rest of the staff at BigHit had agreed that Hoseok was a good addition to the group, so Hoseok had joined. It was the first time that Hoseok has asked for something, had dared look him in the eyes and almost demand something, yes it had been a little hurtful that what he was asking for was for nobody to know that he was Hoseok's adopted father, it was still progress.

Sihyuk had been worried about Yoongi, he knew the man had some deep-seated issues, and he had gotten a very short explanation of what had happened, but he had been naive and believed Yoongi's words that he was doing better. After BTS had become a pack, they had been better at; first, Hoseok was doing better, and with Sihyuk wanting to be better than other entertainment labels, he had decided to honour the law. No workplace should have any saying in pack stuff, he believed it was gonna be okay.

It was first when Namjoon ended up in the hospital he had really realised how wrong he was, but at that point, it was already too late to help his son more. Luckily Hoseok did agree this time to go to group therapy, which is where he ended up meeting friends who could actually help him.

He had really felt that the last few months was the happiest and brightest that Hoseok had ever been, he had even come home multiple times to have dinner with them, which was something he rarely did anymore.

That progress, that feeling that everything was slowly becoming okay, was why it hurt Sihyuk so much to see Hoseok in the state he was currently in. He held up the umbrella to shield Hoseok from some of the rain, not that it was gonna do much, the young alpha had been drenched a long time before Sihyuk even found out where he was.

Kneeling in front of a gravestone in the rain, at first Hoseok didn't even seem to notice that Sihyuk was there with him, that an umbrella was being held above his head. Sihyuk didn't interrupt him or announce his presence, just stayed there, letting Hoseok mourn.

It was far from the first time that the younger had gone to visit his mother's gravestone, at first they had tried to stop Hoseok, seen it as a bad coping mechanism, but they had quickly learned that it was the best way for the young man to grieve and try to deal with the things that had happened to him.

That was why Sihyuk wasn't surprised that it was where he went when everything Hoseok knew crashed around him, as much as he wished to be wrong, he knew his son. It was Seokjin that had called him, explained what had happened he had been worried about Yoongi but trusted that the rest of BTS had gone places where they could be safe and healthy.

He had thanked the older beta, and promised that he would take care of everything, and added on just to be safe that what had happened was probably for the best.

It would be a pain to try and find a good PR angle on it, but Sihyuk didn't care, he cared about all of these young men like they were his own, he had confirmed that the rest of BTS were in different places, with multiple other people trying to find Yoongi. Sinhyuk himself had decided to entrust other people with Yoongi, he had a son to go talk to, cause Hoseok was not with Beast as Seokjin had expected.
