Jimin raced down the hall, heart pounding whenever he thought he heard footsteps running after him.

"Can everyone hear me?" Jeongguk asked in his ear. "Jin? Tae? Baby? Hobi?"

Jimin raised a hand and pressed it over the small device in his ear as he raced along the tile floors. "I can hear you."

He listened as the others confirmed as well.

"Remember, two hours tops, and then get your asses to any vent. They should all connect to each other, and we can get out through the basement one. Hurry, I just overheard some guards say the doctor just initiated a back up plan. I don't know what it is, but I know it won't be good for us, and especially not good for Yoongi, the alters, Kook and Namjoon."

As if on cue, a blaring alarm suddenly went off, the bright lights overhead instantly darkening to a deep red.

It was harder to see now, and Jimin almost didn't see the people in front of him until he nearly crashed into them.

He gasped, freezing in terror at what he saw under the pounding alarm.

One was laying on the ground, not moving, while the other stood over him, a gun in his hand.

Agust glanced up, still aiming the gun at the unconscious man on the floor.

Jimin stared, too terrified to radio in for help when he saw the dark eyes of the violent alter.

Agust slowly drew the gun back, turning to face the small pinkette.

"Pink..."

Jimin looked fearfully at the man on the floor. "You...you k-killed him."

Agust nudged the guard with his shoe. "I wish. These guns just knock people out. They don't want to kill off all their patients, apparently. Just me." He chuckled, shaking the hair out of his eyes. "How lucky am I, huh?"

Jimin thought about what the strong alter must have gone through in the month he was forced to spend here. About how Jungkook swore on his life that Agust was a good person in his world.

He tried to calm his racing heart, taking a step closer.

"Agust..."

Agust watched as the small pinkette slowly walked closer, seeing the way Jimin trembled under the red lights.

Terrified, but doing it anyways.

Just like how Namjoon had just done.

Just like how Jungkook had done when he hatched this insane, suicidal plan to save Yoongi, and Agust himself.

Because they were all good guys.

Hero's.

"Jungkook told me," Jimin started softly, standing in front of the alter now. "About how he's from a different universe. About how you're a good guy there."

Agust stood still, watching with his own heart racing as the person he had dreamed about for a month slowly reached his little hand out, hesitating for only one moment before placing it over Agust's heart, as if measuring it.

"Are you a good guy here?" He whispered.

Agust wanted to be.

"We need to get to a vent." Jimin told him urgently. "It's the only way out! They all connect- just follow the one that keeps going down! The basement one leads to a graveyard outside- Cassie is waiting for us!"

A way out.

Freedom.

He could finally escape this hellhole and be his own person for the first time, not tied down to anyone else. Everything he ever wanted. Hell, he could even escape with Jimin!

"C'mon, we gotta go!" Jimin grabbed his hand. "There's a time limit! We only have two hours, and it's more like an hour and a half now! Come on! The doctor just initiated a back up plan! He's probably going to lock the whole place down and bring in more guards! We gotta get you and the others out of here!"

He tugged on Agust's arm impatiently, but froze when the alter suddenly raised his hand, bringing it to the pinkette's cheek.

Agust gazed at the boys cheek, thumb lightly tracing the discolored spot that marred the beautiful skin.

"Who hurt you?"

Jimin blinked, having forgot all about when Cho punched him at their wedding. He had never gotten the bruise treated, so it was still showing.

"A bad guy." He confessed.

Agust's eyes narrowed.

Jimin tugged on Agust's hand. "Come on, Agustie! We have to go! We won't be able to fight them and we'll get left behind if we don't get out in time!"

He tried running, but when Agust didn't move, he was yanked back.

"You go, Pink." Agust let go of his hand. "I saw a vent back that way, just around the corner. You should be able to reach, it's not high up. Yank the cover off and get inside. Go down to the basement like you said, and get out of here."

"What- but Agust-!"

"If what you said is true, and it is, then the sub and the bunny don't stand a chance- even if he is on steroids." Agust straightened up, grip tightening on the gun.

"Agust-"

"I'm sick of bad guys, Pink." Agust faced him, the red light washing over his features. "Especially the ones who hurt the people I..." He looked away. "They'll need my help. I can't leave yet."

As horrified as Jimin was to hear that Agust planned on going right into the most dangerous part of the whole asylum, he couldn't help but feel a little proud.

The fairytale ending he had always wanted was finally coming true.

"I knew it." He beamed, walking up to the alter. "I always had a feeling what Jungkook was saying was true."

He stood on his tip toes and grabbed Agust's shoulder with one hand, his other reaching up to tangle in the alter's hair, yanking him down a little so he could press his lips tightly against Agust's.

Stunned, Agust was speechless when Jimin pulled back.

Jimin smirked. "There's another one of those waiting for you when you come back."

Agust raised his fingertips to his tingling lips. "Why...did you do that?"

"To show you why the good guys fight." Jimin whispered.

If Agust had any doubts about not running away, they were completely gone now.

"Come on." Agust grabbed Jimin's hand, racing back down the way he had come. "You need to get out of here before the gates of hell open."

The vent was old, and Agust was able to yank it off quickly. He grabbed Jimin's waist, hoisting the small pinkette up.

Jimin grabbed the ledge, shuffling to crawl inside the cramped space. He wiggled around so he could face the alter.

"Get outside." Agust ordered. "Get to safety, understand?"

"What about you?" Jimin worried.

"I'm right behind you, Pink." Agust smiled.

Jimin knew he was lying, but dutifully started crawling down the vent anyways.

He trusted Agust to keep his word.

That was what good guys did, after all.

-

As soon as Jimin was out of sight, Agust pulled out the gun, wishing it was loaded with real bullets.

He knew exactly where to go, and he took off running under the dark red lights.

Please, whoever can hear me, please don't let me die.

I can't disappoint Pink.

I want to be his hero.
