"Fuck!" Jungkook groaned, struggling to pick himself up as he gasped for breath.

That last punch from Suga had all but taken the fight out of him. He was exhausted. Weak. Dehydrated in this sweltering room.

He glanced across the tiled floor, seeing Jeongguk laying motionless a few feet away. His white shirt was stained with red.

Suga stalked over to him, barely even scratched, and Jungkook just knew it was over.

Suga bent down, studying the broken boy.

"Did you really think you could protect Yoongi?" The alter cocked his head. "A pathetic, weak thing like you?"

He grabbed Jungkook's shirt, lifting him up easily as he slammed the boys back against the wall.

Despite the soaring temperature and all the fighting, Suga hadn't even broken a sweat.

"Suga...please..." Jungkook was exhausted.

"Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery." Suga wrapped his fingers around the boys neck and squeezed.

As the air ran out, Jungkook's life flashed before his eyes.

This world, his home world, Seokjin's laughter, Yoongi and Namjoon's wedding, the day he dommed the married couple, saving Jimin, being at Hoseok's store, Taehyung's research paper, all the times they had kissed and hugged, the alters.

He had failed.

He was sent to fix this reality and he had gotten close, but he wasn't able to succeed, and now everyone was going to die because he hadn't been strong enough.

The edges of his vision went black, the darkness creeping in closer and closer, until Suga's red eyes were the last thing he ever saw-

"Subie!"

Jungkook gasped for breath when the hand suddenly released him, dropping back down to the floor.

Weakly, he forced his eyes open and saw a little black bundle crawling across the floor.

Yoonie giggled excitedly as he scooted along, stopping to carefully stretch himself onto his feet, wobbling a little.

He tossed his arms in the air, almost unbalancing himself as he swayed on his little feet. "Yoonie's SuSu! Lookit! Is Yoonie!"

He was so small, the shirt was like a dress on him, trailing on the floor. The pants didn't fit at all, left behind in the second tube.

Suga faced him, seeing the boy poke his tongue out, curly hair a mess as he stuck one tiny foot out, taking a step.

"Lookit, Subie!" Yoonie called, toddling along, focusing on his tiny steps. "Yoonie is walking! Subie is watching Yoonie?"

Suga abandoned Jungkook, walking quickly over to the small baby.

Yoonie shrieked with giggles, eagerly holding his little arms up for the man he knew would always protect him, no matter what.

Suga bent down, and Jungkook could only watch, helpless to save the little baby from the danger he was in.

Yoonie tripped over the long shirt, and tumbled against Suga. He giggled, peeking up at the alter. "Subie catched Yoonie!"

Suga picked the little boy up, wrapping both arms around the chubby little baby tightly. He buried his face against Yoonie, squeezing the giggling bundle as tight as he dared.

"You did it baby," he whispered, pressing kisses to Yoonie's chubby cheek. "I'm so proud of you."

He pulled back, his eyes a warm brown, and a soft smile on his face as he gazed admiringly at the baby.

Yoonie smooshed his pouty lips against Suga's cheek, squirming excitedly in the mans hold. "Love SuSu."

"I love you too, sweet angel."

"He's a little demon." Agust complained, crossing his arms. "Why does no one else ever see that?"

Yoonie looked around. "Where Miss Yoonji? Where Yoomgie?"

"Suga?" Namjoon took a small step forward, hesitant. "Are you...you?"

Yoonie leaned against Suga's chest, raising a chubby hand to pat the alter softly. "Yoonie's Subie. Always."

"My head hurts." Suga admitted, looking around. "Jungkook! What happened?"

"Explain later, escape now." Agust demanded, pushing him towards the vent.

Namjoon raced over to Jungkook, helping him to his feet. "Come on, you can be dramatic later, get up."

"I almost died!" Jungkook argued, pushing Namjoon off of him. "Help Jeongguk, I'll be okay."

Namjoon raced over, gathering the unconscious boy in his arms. "How are we going to get him and Yoongi out? They can't crawl through the vent, and it's too small to carry them through."

"Leave that to me."

All the boys whipped their heads around, seeing a figure walk out of the steam of the second tube.

Yoonji flipped her hair back, ripping a piece of her black shirt off to use it to tie her hair up.

She smirked at their shocked faces, putting her hands on her slender hips.

"What? Did you dumb boys really think you could accomplish anything without me?"
