Hello hello, fellow Hermittpadders, and welcome back to another recap full of fluff, angst, and humor that's sure to brighten your day! Speaking of which, how is everyone? Settling into the new year well? I hope so! <3
Before we get into the stories, we'd like to mention something. A lot of working on the recap is info gathering, which is basically finding the fics to put into the recap. Lately, with the team being busy, it's been a bit of a struggle to find enough stories. So, I'd like to ask: Would any of you like to be archivers?
Your job as an archiver would be to get on the Archives account fairly often (doesn't have to be every day, maybe every couple) and spend some time checking the different tags for new stories. If you find good ones, you'd add them to the library and appropriate categories, and we'd be able to see and use them in the recap when they update!
Applications are still open for being a normal recapper as well. If you wish to apply, go ahead! But archivers are something we especially need, so if there's anyone who wants to help us and spends a lot of time reading new fics, but doesn't want to deal with the writing and editing parts of being a recapper, perhaps consider the archiver position? :D
With that aside, it's time to jump into the stories this week!
We've got some incorrect quotes to set us off on a good note! BlackMors_ updated their incorrect quotes book with a chapter centering on the loveable Zedaph, and some of his shenanigans are sure to earn a few laughs!
We do love some wholesome shenanigans, and MurtoK gives us even more with the recent update to their crossover fic A Rift Through Worlds. When you put Hermitcraft and DSMP together, character bonding is sure to lead to some fun conversations!
Now, enough of all this fluffy stuff, time for some angst! In this week's update of Mycelium's Grace, servants of 303 attack Grian's base. You like arson, Watchers, and Grian angst? E2j6hu6 might have the thing for you!
Back to the more lighthearted things, we've got sixth_constellation updating their Flower Husbands fic Broken Wings. This time, Jimmy and Scott wake up to find their hairs have swapped!
EminenceGhost updated their Bdoc Hero AU with the final chapter featuring the final battle! It's bittersweet to see this fic coming to a close, but this isn't the last we'll see of this AU. Keep an eye out for the epilogue!
Ever wanted some lore with your incorrect quotes? Two-WayDoorsBish brings us just that this week, along with some hilarious quotes, in the latest update of their Hermitcraft Incorrect Quotes book!
WelshKitsune also has some wonderful incorrect quotes for both Season 8 and Last Life, so don't be afraid to take a peek at their Season 8 oneshots book for their contributions!
Taking place during Season 7, Etho goes missing for a few days and Tango takes it upon himself to rescue him in the latest oneshot of CWellerman's oneshots book!
Can You See Me is the latest oneshot by rain_55 in their oneshots book! It's a Ghost AU, and Mumbo communicates with the ghost of a certain sweater wearing Hermit.
If that's not enough Mumbo and Grian content for you, we've got more. PancakeTheKat has brought us a oneshot in their Hermitcraft and DSMP book where Mumbo and Grian fuse together! That's always a great idea, right?
A Chaotic Camping Trip, the S8 highschool AU by ThatOneWaterCat has updated this week! While Xisuma and Joe make some nice fern tea, a secret spreads around the group about glowing flowers.
Though it's been a little bit, Love is Vexing is back with another chapter, and thathermitweirdo doesn't disappoint! While the last few remaining Hermits are turned into vexes, Scar watches in fear and struggles with his emotions.
In this week's chapter of PromiseTheMoon's Unreachable, sequel to Unrecognizable, Grian is saved from drowning by Scar who then shows him around the strange new world.
Last Life body swap shenanigans anyone? MightysWolf has just the thing with the recent update to their Oneshots 5 book! Friends swapped with friends and even enemies swapped with enemies... We'll be waiting for part two to explain it all!
Moving away from Hermits for a brief moment, DakotahWinters updated their chaos book with a oneshot in which they show some other members of Hermittpad how to fight. It's a nice mix of action and humor, and definitely worth a look!
Any of my fellow Marvel fans here? captainmarra1099 has created a crossover AU fic between the MCU and Hermitcraft, titled Project HermitVengers! A bunch of teenage Hermits with powers are sure to bring about some exciting content.
Interested in what would happen if Grian couldn't see glass? Or what if Tango didn't like water? GuuMiester answers these questions and more in their Hermitcraft Headcanon Oneshots book!
Can't get enough of those DSMP crossovers? Well, maybe netzachee can provide you with another one! In their fic Afterlife, Wilbur ends up in Hermitcraft after destroying L'manburg, and there's bound to be some fun adventures as he tries to adapt to the ways of this new world.
In duckygirl11's A Masquerade Murder that they adapted from thatzflow, thirteen lucky Hermits get invitations to a fancy party, but things aren't as wonderful as they seem. Murder mysteries? Count me in!
And for our final book update, The Time This Ends by XxFadingDreamsxX is being deleted. But don't fret! They'll be rewriting it soon, so be ready for that!

Unfortunate but important to know, and0ari has to delete their Wattpad account after their parents found it. However, if you're an enjoyer of their Hermitcraft x DSMP crossover fic Bedrock, lucky for you they'll still be able to post on their Ao3 account. Keep an eye out for updates there!
On a happier note, we have several huge follower milestones this week, with Nayl0rWritesStuff hitting 50 followers, sixth_constellation hitting 300, and MayaTheWatcher hitting 500! Absolutely incredible, congratulations to you three! Much deserved milestones and we're happy to see you reach them <3
We've also got a book milestone, with XandeaTheWatcher's fic Never Really Gone hitting a stunning 60k reads! Congratulations!
