As we get into this week's recap, the team hopes everyone is having a great pride month so far! Shout out to all you gay people! Anyone who isn't cist and/or het rejoice as we all celebrate our identities with, well, pride! Once again we apologize for this update running late, as the recap takes a lot of work and there's only so many of us! Please consider applying for the team to help make the recap process easier! Taking the Minecraft fact of creepers being scared of cats, GuuMiester has written a oneshot that demonstrates Doc's fear of such creatures! This story can be found in their Hermitcraft Headcanon Oneshots book, where every fic they post revolves around a certain hermit headcanon they have! Definitely worth checking out :)
Chapter 15 of A Chaotic Camping Trip by ThatOneWaterCat came out this week! Tension ensues between the hermits who are out after dark and following along with the theme of fears, some grow worried about what may be out where they can't see!
The classic sport of table tennis, or ping-pong, is the subject of ButterFlies77Writes' latest oneshot, aptly titled Tennis of Tables! Set in season 8, Grian and Etho begin competing in some friendly ping pong and end up getting more hermits involved!
Once again Taken By The Rift has received multiple updates this week! The grind seems to never stop for Night5kyes! (Although we hope you're taking healthy and appropriate breaks!) As of writing this recap, they've reached their 28th chapter! And by the end (no spoilers here) the characters' rather peaceful lives are yet again greatly disturbed! O:
Ever feel unhappy with the story or the ending of a Hermitcraft fic? Ever wish you could reach through the screen and tell the characters what to say? Well, we may not be able to provide you with that, but we can direct you to someone who gives you options for what can happen to characters in their story! Part 8 of MushroomFearie's Choose Your Own Adventure fic was released this week! At the beginning of this update, they also point readers towards Crafty_R567's rendition of the same story but from differing perspectives, titled The Winged Frog!
AerospaceVoid_ has started a new book titled The Waves! It's a multiverse AU with only the prologue out, not to mention the other fandoms involved have yet to be revealed! All we know is that the inevitable collision of worlds has something to do with Grian and his rift!
Gifted AU by LilyAndSoe is a story where, as you may have already guessed, hermits have been gifted with special powers! There are 14 chapters out so far and you should totally consider checking it out! :D
Did someone ask for domestic Ethdubs? Well, Crimson_den just answered the phone! Their drabble depicts the two sharing an apartment, Etho coming home to not seeing Bdubs anywhere! No worries though, it's all purely fluff! :)
The second chapter of AnimatedImposter's rewrite of Alter Ego was released this week! Grian meets the admin of the hermitcraft server; Xisuma! Despite not giving his backstory, he does admit to needing a place to stay!
Without realizing it, Tango accidentally gives Impulse a nickname in PoroRaine's new oneshot! He's given one in return, but then asks Impulse to not tell Zedaph! Will he though?
Nothing like some tasty hurt/comfort amirite? Stranger13579 has cooked us up some in the form of Grumbo! Grian's memories become too overwhelming for him, but thankfully Mumbo arrives just in time to help him out with some hugs!
Words Unspoken is a completely pre-written story by kcaffery23! They'll be uploading the chapters once or twice a day! It's important to read their Welcome chapter as it includes the triggers of this tale of kingdoms, magic, Watchers, and more!
BoardAAAAAA's first fic is a crossover with Sleepy Boys Inc! (Tommy, Wilbur, Techno, and Phil) and is titled The Twins of Mischief! The focus from the Hermitcraft side are Pearl and Grian! Besides the prologue, there are two chapters out so far!
Athazagoraphobia is one, quite the mouthful, two, the fear of forgetting/being forgotten, and three, the name of ItsNot_BlueBerryyy's new AU! Set in Season 9, Grian has discovered a new mob, and their first interactions don't go so well, as the dude is bitten by the creature! D:
