I had trouble sleeping last night. I kept on thinking about why Camilo would want to hang out with me. Sure, I was trying to become friends with him but didn't this seem to be going a little too fast? Oh well, at least I was getting some progress.

I had told Julietta to wake me up at 7AM. I asked her because she apperently wakes up at 6AM so that she can prepare food for everyone in her family and have enough food to run her stand in the middle of town. She woke me up gently, which was a nice contrast to Miguel screaming in my ear and shaking me violently to wake me up.

I got dressed, wore some comfortable pants and a basic white shirt that I tucked in. I was considering styling my hair but I was just helping around town, no need to dress up. I put on a simple necklace made of braided twine and some white beads and headed out of Casita.

I knocked on Senora Ramirez's door only to realize it was already open. The door swung open with a loud creak. Most people were either still in their houses or asleep so I tried not to make too much noise. I peered into the house to see Senora Ramirez fast asleep on her couch, the TV still on.

I felt something on my leg and I looked down to see a tiny white dog with long droopy ears and fur over it's eyes. Could it even see? I grabbed the leash by the door and started walking the dog. The dog wasn't too energetic at all, I let it do it's business and then walked it back to Senrora Ramirez's place.

When I got there, she was already awake and was watching whatever was on her TV before. She offered me a cup of tea but I decided against it. I wasn't used to waking up this early, the tea would just make me more tired. She thanked me for my help and we said our goodbyes.

When I had gone back to Casita, a few people were already awake. Obviously, Julietta was awake, busy cooking away in the kitchen. Pepa was awake aswell, nothing over her head, talking to Julietta. I noticed Adelita over the house, flying circles around Bruno's tower, practicing. Luisa was running in place as Casita turned the hallway floor into a conveyer belt of sorts. Dolores was up too.

When she saw me, she called me over to where she was, which was outside. They had an area outside with a yellow table on it.

"Goodmorning, Dolores" I said.

"Goodmorning, y/n" she said cheerfully, yet still tired sounding "Do you mind helping me set the table? Camilo won't wake up."

I giggled and nodded. I went to the kitchen and Casita passed me some glasses, I took a few and carried them to the dining area, careful not to drop and break any of them. I set them down on the right side of the plates that Dolores were setting.

"By the way, y/n" Dolores began "Is there something going on between you and my brother?"

"Which one?" I asked.

"I meant Camilo" she said "I could hear him grumbling your name angrily one day and then yesterday, you two were making plans to hang out!"

I forgot that she could hear everything. I wonder if that was ever an inconvenience for her.

"Oh, he didn't seem to like me when I first came here" I said.

"So you went to Mirabel for help?" she asked, a little too knowingly.

"Yeah, she gave me advice, I took it and now I'm pretty sure I'm making progress with Camilo" I said.

"You definetly are" she said, giggling "He's a very busy boy, the life of a Madrigal. But he made time for you, that means something"

My heart fluttered a bit at what she had said. Means something? What does that mean?

"I hope he doesn't hate me too much anymore" I said, jokingly.

Dolores laughed. She looked pretty when she laughed. This whole family was unfairly pretty.

We finished setting up the table and eventually, Pepa and Dolores woke everyone up. Everyone except Camilo for some reason. Everyone was seated at the table, including mi familia.

"Oh, y/n, could you please go wake up Camilo?" Dolores asked me, winking.

My eyes widened. That sneaky little-

"Dolores, you were supposed to do that!" Pepa said.

"Sorry, mami" Dolores said.

"No, it's alright, I don't mind" I said, getting up from my seat.

I made my way upstairs, my heart beat getting faster with every step. What if last night was just a weird heat of the moment thing and if I tried waking him up now, he would hate me again? I took a deep breath and shook off my nerves. Soon enough, I was in front of his door.

The carving of Camilo's dumb smirking face of the door almost felt like it was taunting me. I knocked on the door and I heard a groan in response.

"Dolores, please let me sleep" I heard him groan from inside.

I opened the door, realizing it doesn't have a lock on it, and leaned on the door frame.

"Not Dolores, Senor" I said, teasingly.

As soon as he heard my voice, he sat up in his bed, his eyes blown wide. His hair wasn't as fluffy as I was used to and he was rubbing his eyes.

"You have a very cute morning voice, Camilo" I said, smiling at him.

"Uh- I- Let me get dressed! I'll be down in a second..." He said, clearly flustered.

I smiled as I made my way back to breakfast.
