Camilo and I slowed down after we left the shop. I reached my hand out towards Camilo, a silent offer. He took my hand with a soft smile and I did the same back. He led me to another street, it was quieter than most of the others in Encanto. It was mostly just somewhere that young children could play together.
A ball rolled towards us from a group of kids. Camilo kicked it upwards and caught it on his knee, earning a few gasps of awe from the children watching him. He smirked as he began to juggle the ball, entertaining the kids. The children cheered for him and eventually, Camilo let go of my hand and caught the ball in his hands and tossed it to one of the kids in the front.
"Show off" I muttered, just loud enough for him to hear it.
"How dare you! I would never!" Camilo said, pretending to be offended "A show off? Me? Never."
I laughed at his terrible acting. Camilo took hold of my hand again and led me back to the town square. Camilo was shapeshifting into Dolores, imitating his older sister, making me giggle. He turned back into himself with a gasp when he heard his name being called.
"Camilo?!" Isabella's voice yelled.
Camilo and I looked around for her. We couldn't really tell where the voice was coming from. Camilo physically jumped when he heard Isabella clear her throat behind him.
"Ahem!" Isabella exclaimed "What are you doing outside of school?"
She glanced at me for a moment before looking back at Camilo.
"And why is Y/n here with you?" she asked "Y/n, did he kidnap you?"
I shook my head.
"Uh, no! We just...Uh..." I said, clearly at a loss for an explanation.
"Camilo! You have to stop skipping school!" Isabella scolded, making a poof of flowers appear in front of his face "And you brought Y/n with you, you are such a bad influence!"
"Blegh!" Camilo exclaimed, spitting some of the flowers that got in his mouth "Hey, Y/n came along on their own! I was just showing them around town, we aren't doing anything bad."
"You probably would've if I hadn't caught you" Isabella said "Can't Dolores hear you? Why is she letting this happen?"
"Dolores doesn't bother me when I skip" Camilo replied "Unlike some people..."
"Ugh, I'm telling Tio Felix" Isabella said, smiling evilly.
"What? No! That's not fair!" Camilo said "Pleaseeee! Please don't tell my dad!"
Camilo got on his knees and clasped his hands together as he pleaded. Isabella simply rolled her eyes at him.
"Fine, but only because I don't want to get Y/n in trouble for your bad influence!" Isabella said, turning to walk away.
Camilo let out a sigh of relief and got up from the ground.
"You didn't help me out. Like at all!" Camilo said, putting his hands on his hips.
I laughed.
"She's your cousin, dude" I replied with a shrug.
"Whatever" Camilo said, shrugging back.
We walked side by side, checking out the town's scenery. Eventtually, we started seeing kids our age walking home in their unofrms. I guess school was over.
"Maybe we should head home too," I said, looking at Camilo.
He nodded with a soft smile. We walked all the way to Casita. When we opened the door we saw Mirabel standing right in front of it with an angry look on her face.
"You guys skipped?!" Mirabel asked.
I swallowed hard and gave Camilo a look.
"Um, ahem...Yes?" Camilo replied.
"That's so mean! You should've invited me!" Mirabel whined.
I sighed in relief, thank goodness she wasn't angry at us. Well, at least not for the reason that I thought.
"We didn't mean to" Camilo said "We'll invite you if it ever happens again."
Mirabel smiled and walked into the kitchen. I trusted that she wouldn't tell my parents. I looked to my right to see Miguel. He walked up to me, a frustrated look on his face. I braced myself for the scolding that I knew was coming.
"Y/n!" Miguel yelled.
I shut my eyes and awaited my fate. I waited...But no scolding came.
"Y/n! Carlos sent a letter back!" Miguel exclaimed "What do I do?!"
"Huh?" I exclaimed, blinking dumbly at him "So you didn't hear that I- Y'know what, nevermind. Just open it?"
"But what if it says something bad!" Miguel whined, waving the letter in my face.
"But what if it's something good?" I retorted.
Camilo stifled a laugh when Miguel clutched the letter close to his heart and squealed.
"Excited, Miguel?" Camilo asked.
Miguel pouted as he glared at Camilo. Then Miguel turned to me with pleading eyes.
"Can you just open it with me?" Miguel asked "Y/n, pleaseeeee?"
"Fine, fine, but make it quick" I said.
Miguel carefully opened the letter. He pulled the paper out and read it, his eyes going wide at some sentences. His eyes reached the end of the letter. He was blushing profusely and his ears were redder than the rest of him.
"So? What did it say?" I asked, trying to snatch the letter from him.
"No!" Miguel exclaimed, moving the letter away from my hand "I...I can't let you read it! It's not very uh...appropriate..."
My jaw actually dropped. Camilo burst into hysterical laughter and I heard a plate drop from the kitchen before Dolores came rushing into the main area.
"Miguel..." Dolores said, her hand over her mouth.
"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, sticking my tongue out in disgust "Miguel!"
"Please, please, please don't tell anyone, I didn't think it would be that kind of letter!" Miguel yelled.
"Don't tell anyone what?" Adelita asked.
"Miguel- He got a dirty letter from his- his boyfriend!" Camilo said in between gasps as he laughed.
"Miguel! Scandalous!" Adelita exclaimed.
Miguel groaned and ran upstairs to his room and shut the door. Then Mirabel chimed in.
"Alright then, I know it's really funny but we need to discuss everyone's duties for Marcos' gift ceremony!" MIrabel said "There's so much to do, preparations, clothing, rehearsals! Let's go!"

Yeah, this chapter was a bit uneventful, I literally just got dumped so...
Ugh, so annoying, so close to Valentine's day too. Oh well.
